Ya, freaking suxkk. MMS not include for 2G. Hardware limitation? My god, swirlymms able to work in 2G in a limited hardware condition while apple can't. This is marketing purpose!!

i also experience it. ppl unable to call/sms you. Ppl can call you but your phone won't display any incoming call.. i also waiting for the solution..

Current Firmware : 3.0
Carrier : digi
iTunes Version : 8.2
PC : XP Pro
Jailbreaking software : redsnow 0.72
Problem Encountered :
1. people unable to call in, keep recieving miss call sms
2. batery life suck faster than before, cant even charge full overnight. phone get very hot when charging. compare to before firmware upgrade.
Steps Taken So Far : still in monitoring state. i jst upgrade my firmware to 3.0 last friday night.

i think all iphone 2g all having the same problem right? anyone try downgrade back to 2.1 or 2.2 firwmware?

here is my solution that i tried..
1. restore to 2.2.1 (using iTunes 8.1) n Jailbreak it.
2. Update to 3.0 (using iTunes 8.2) (not restore) and Jailbreak it using RedSn0w.
3. Don't install any app that support Push Notification.
4. Don't use Push Mail (instead Manually fetch)
5. If you use MobileMe (Switch off the "Find My iPhone")

with these, my battery back to normal, and I can receive calls..
