"Hi Everyone.

Just got my new iPhone 3G last Friday and it is so much better than I expected. Love it to bits... except one problem. Sometimes when I'm being called the iPhone asks me to slide to answer the call (as my phone is always on lock in my pocket).

But it won't register my slide. Sometimes if I frantically hit the Home button and keep sliding it will eventually answer, but that's not often. The issue is slowly getting worse, I've had this issue 5 times today (out of 20-30 phone calls).

I'm running 2.2.1 firmware, the phone is NOT jailbroken, and I've also looked at Apple's Support forums with no answer. The phone came with 2.2 firmware but I upgraded it immediately after I opened the box.

The apps I have installed are IceTV, Facebook, Metro Melb, EAT, DRINK, Shazam, Twtterfon. I've hard reset and also turned the phone off for a while, to no avail. Apple's support forums suggest a restore doesn't help either, also that this problem has been on some phones since before 2.2, and besides, I'm at work at the moment and can't restore till tomorrow anyway.

I have no other issues with the touchscreen at all. It's quite annoying as, well, everyone laughs at me at work while I frantically try to answer calls on my "dumb", "wanker" phone

Thanks everyone.

Richard. "

Taken from MacTalk, just wondering if anyone else has encountered a problem like this?
