heres my 2 cent...

yesterday i just finished calibrating my Samsung LA37S81BX/SHI 37" LCD using the Spyder3TV....the calibrator is quite an amateur product but i realise after getting the right brightness n contrast, i lose out on a lot of details...the black is a lot nicer but the darker shades of gray became black as well...i can hardly differentiate between black and gray....if i increase the brightness, i see more details but all black items turns to gray which is also quite annoying....i cant get a balance setting.....i later tried the calibrator on my friends older panny plasma....the plasma gave a much better black level with higher details and you can easily differentiate between gray and black ....the color is more natural and the contrast is just fantastic even when compared to the newer range of LCD tv....
