Since when and who use the achievement as a benchmark to measure a player's performance?

Well i've been absent in wow for more than 7months, before that non cares about achievements, and u'll always get a raid spot whenever you want. When

im in dalaran, i see those who looking for mate to raid, i pm and then i raid.

Now everyone was like 25naxx LFM need dps, any class will do, then i was like yay i can join them for naxx since i never been there b4 7months ago and i

decided to give it a go, but then wtfbbq when they ask, got achievement for naxx? no? ok bye bye. WTF

so for those newbie who playing alone and hardly get a raid spot even in guild, does that means they wont be able to raid for the rest of their wow life?

It's cos nobody wants to pug with somebody who doesn't know the fights. I was in a Naxx10 last week fighting Grobbulus, when some tard kept dropping his mutating injection right in the middle of the room / raid.

Asking for achieve isn't a failsafe way to weed out the super clueless people, but it's one of the easiest. How else do you as a PUG leader know whether the person you're inviting is sh*t or not?

Easiest way is to bullsh*t, just pst the guy your stats and then say dw I know the fights, I got achieve on my main if you want me to switch.

u can jz say u know the fights (make sure u really do)...
i did that for toc10 and after that, i was invited to join the guild run (both 10 and 25man) every week since my healing was really good in that run (over 1k hps above the 2nd healer)...

the switch to main thing doesnt fkn work in jabaithos fkn shit server even if you have full clear uld in hardmode also you cant get your alt in pugs unless its your friends pug and there is always the "why u leave", its where the raid leader kicks you right before a fight start or right after it ends.

You know what you don't have to worry. For the pug happy and schedule disaster players.....LFG will be implemented in your Battlegroup before it is across all servers. It will start with 5man trial first though.

...and oh...don't expect to play on that patch day....lol

It's cos half the pug guys got their achieve by concidentally being carried by a half-guild run or a bunch of other pug's who overgear the instance. So once you join a pug with a larger proportion of these clueless guys, the pug is then destined to fail.

How else do you explain people who f*ck up the ---- ++++ polarity?
How else do you explain people who put mutating injection in the middle of the room?
How else do you explain the DK in my VOA last night who tanked Emalon right in the middle of the room so the DPS had nowhere to run during nova?

heck even ppl with achievements fails cause they got carried (totc 1st boss dps never dps the ads on the healers from start to finish - i kept spamming /rw ads on me!!!)

ps: there are achievement forging addons btw lol

Just be honest with the pug leader, if you don't know the fight, tell and ask before the fight. I think many people not hating someone don't know the fight but more frustrated on someone pretended that know the fight and talk big but eventually cause wipe.

You have to be a little kiasu when it comes to PUG PVE. When content comes out, you have to get into the pug as early as possible. Having an achievement early on leads to more invites. Otherwise, you get into a vicious cycle of no achievement -> no invite -> no achievement.

If you catch the timing on weekends, there are peak periods where pugs are not screening for achievements.

You can join a raiding guild as a backup raider. Sounds like a bad idea? Raiding guilds tend to want to gear their alts, so you can sneak into their alt raids to get the achievements and throwaway loots. It is actually a nice casual lifestyle if you don't have a big ego.

Its kinda ironic sometimes. Those ppl who asked for achievements from Pugs are the same ppl who complained that PVE is too easy.

I have seen this many times:
"LFM Naxx25, Must be geared"(Translate=Lolduar geared). Ironically, the raid leader has mixture of quest/blue gears.

Pfft, who needs Naxx anyways. You can practically gear out an alt within 1-2 hours of Reg TOC farming.

well as it was said cheap brand of condom, if you study over seas i dont know if u did or didnt but at my collage last time they used to give us government condoms which was cheap and alot of people said untrustable, so the saying goes, if your gonna use condoms make sure it cost more then a dollar. hense the term cheap brand condom and your only used when really really needed.

wow... after reading all this... i know now how serious raids are... i read it somewhere that list down all the pre-raid gear, well maybe can start collecting them...

for me, i tend to treat wow as casual as it can be... no need to get emotional because if let say, u achieve everything, get the bestest gear in there, where's the fun then?

IMHO, take it slow... raids arent the only thing matter in wow right? u got bazzilions other achievements to tackle... from making cakes to storming major cities (ah i missed the good ol vanilla days)

for me, games are designed to entertain us... we have GF/Parents/boss/colleague/housemates for everything else wink.gif

Serious business indeed!! Yeah we have all the serious player vs casual player kinda argument. Suits your style, play the game, have fun. When was the last time we laughed while playing the game? I rofl literally while doing this quest in Nagrand, poking thru cleffhoof crap looking for a seed. Why oh why did i pay 60bucks a month doing this quest hahaha...

Then again, this small2 laugh made us entertained.

Join Blackrock, we pug everything.. and its common for some geared/experienced players to help clear the instance esp when its a GDKP run.. 1.8k per person last week from TOC25 GDKP.. just under 2hour clear.

This means that theres normally an allocated number of raid slots open for ppl with no achievements/experience but have gold to spend. However, if a person is really really bad, they will be replaced of course.

Moogle got my respect. Are you playing in Malaysian streamyx? considering that tank's connection is the most important to be stable and all that. The way I see it, you are one of a good leader that can make a pug so much fun and smooth. I say this as I was pugger myself, realizing that my guild cant satisfy my need. Made most of my epic gears by Pugging. I'm more to be the follower as I'm usually playing my dpser alt. Just once awhile led a pug when i desperate enough.

When joining a pug i always can predict the 'success' of the group by looking at how the leader manage thing, from choosing the team members till handle small2 things. they may not well geared enough( maybe playing on alt) but know what they doing. I will not join if i got invited without checking on my gear or atleast asked me if i know the fight unless i know the person.

Pug is fun. Met a lot good friends who once awhile will ask me to join their new pugging again. But then again it can be so frustrating at times when people messed up and start leaving. So i vote for requirement check and all.

its fine to demand standard for fellow raiders/teammates - even a badly geared DPS can make a heroic run wipe, not to mention a bad tank/healer

but it gets annoying when every raid or even daily heroic runs are filled with idiots yelling 5000 GS or 'exp only, no noob' crap

seriously, i've seen way 'undergeared' players did way better jobs than those so called pros

best example, i had a VoA 10 tank in heroic purples, tanked all 3 bosses - including emalon and his goons together. sure beats those so called raid MT in shame

He must have leet healers around.
Aoe tanking adds and boss is easy.

Some tanks are awful in grabbing adds. I have seen some tanks in epics let adds run around and not taunting it. (No one is dpsing the adds anyways, healers get smack for heal aggro lol)

i'm not talking about adds in some heroics

i'm talking about Emalon - the Voa boss with 4 lackies that enrages over time

a typical raid would have another OT take the adds while some MT take Emalon away

the raid which i mentioned sport a 'regular' healer and offheal, which is rather normal in standard

the one that shines is the main tank. Like i said, he did what other ulduar/ToC tanks cant even do - and he did it in way 'lower' gear, or GS

ranking others based on GS or Achievement is prolly the dumbest thing to do - i'd make my judgements AFTER party with said person, not some scoresheet

you cannot blame soley on 'tanks' when shit happens, sometimes they are being put into the tanking position.

having few pug on UK, i'm always being targeted as alternative tank because of gear related attribute that pimped up my stamina when i'm supposed to dps; i even offer to quit for them to get a proper tank but nooooo.... they end up QQ and blame me for not able to hold up my aggro to few mobs.

i top HP with the lowest gearscore around (#15-20)...
i am among the top dps likewise (i down grade my gear for optimum stats)...
no idea why every1 seemed to LFM gearscore above xxx now sleep.gif

btw... which site/addons you use to scan your GearScore?

my guild is using be.imba.hu, but personally I like WoW-Heroes.

and so far all the GS I got isn't tally... confused... rclxub.gif

which is the commonly used platform?

hmmm the most common one is GearScore i think...
i got it from curse for a try but turn it off instantly since it serve no purpose besides e-peen (except when its FL)...

iLvL means nothing when u know how to get the optimum stats for ur spec even when it means downgrading gears...

its the in-thing

some whackhead starts it - and it quickly becomes a trend

just like how those chuck norris jokes and anal (spell name) spamming

whats really frustrating, is how this is really getting way out of hand, affecting almost every raid or even dungeon groups

here i am, just want to do some heroic daily quest - and for a simple heroic you need 5000GS, aka latest spanking 25 man raid gear?

if i have decked out in 25 man raid gear - why would i even want to run regular or even heroic dungeons?
