btw renaming the psp won't result in the gaming function to dissapear. and also those 2200mAh battery if not mistaken are meant for psp1k but still fits in psp2k/3k. try garage sales, or pm sellers like SCE or bernardmoh

but then beware the first RM950 most likely are refurbished units since those older mobo are already stop producing ages ago...ooh, i personally think that Psp 3k better due to the screen (playable under the sun, good for me since i use the psp for playing songs) and built in mic. for scanlines, it's only visible on some games and if watched CLOSELY (come on, who games looking at the screen so close >_>)

mine is the first generation psp 2k slim. the scanlines not really that visible imo..just test the unit on the stop before you buy that unit. normal playing distance will not be that visible. trust me, the screen is much better than the existing psp 2k (heck, i wanna replace my psp2k lcd with psp3k lcd but it won't work) no worries, bring a pro along before you get the psp lol

but it's not possible since the "drivers" are loaded into the nand of the psp and both psp2k and 3k's nand are different >_>

psp1k..solid brick :3...psp3k has no problems~...scanlines not really an issue since you never own a psp yet. the screen itself is much brighter and better imo...
