QUOTE(cherroy @ Aug 27 2009, 04:26 PM) The problem is that it may be drop to 0.4x then only rebound to 0.5x. Currently, most people in this stock is "gorenged" instead "gorenging". sorta like KNM. low volume, everyone holding on for their lives.

REALLY? then tonight gotta burn midnight oil lu. my valuation for this stock is more than SEALINK/ALAM combined. might jump in at first sight tomorrow. only real downside is it's 80% export dependent. not a local player. Added on August 27, 2009, 4:39 pmQUOTE(panasonic88 @ Aug 27 2009, 04:36 PM) remember the super hero - Handal? from IPO price 0.97, nearly touched 1.50 in less than 3 days! ala local backup support, different oneeee! don't forget the first superstock. Samchem. even the directors goreng it. This post has been edited by teehk_tee: Aug 27 2009, 04:39 PM

QUOTE(testarossa60new @ Aug 27 2009, 04:41 PM) even better than sealink's long term potential? with a larger target market instead of just depending on local players, it's risk-reward ration might be greater. Sealink has competition from TGOFFS, and unless it can keep up it's charter rates i don't see any mid-term potential here. TGOFFS and SEALINK's profits both declined QoQ. Long term ah.. long term i wouldn't touch OnG/energy stocks. TAS is a pretty cute stock. might have fallen in love at first sight edit: IIRC, Sealink builds and charters its own ships. TAS Offshore builds ships only (for now). http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...86&sec=businesssecond edit: kmarc maybe you can go and do a location scout. it's based in Sibu! QUOTE(testarossa60new @ Aug 27 2009, 05:07 PM) Hmm...but why do people still think sealink is a gem? i think i read it a few pages back. hehe just curious. hehe..how long is your long term? uh.. my long term.. maybe 5-6 months up. Sealink ah, maybe in the long term you might see 90sens. but for the time being, hehe i dump all my sealink jor cuz it wasn't performing nicely. 6% appreciation in a month-half excl dividend is badddddddddd. QUOTE(zamans98 @ Aug 27 2009, 05:56 PM) True, and agreed. In short, SEALINK is much attractive, coz the source of the income are from both stream: charter-hire and ship building. TAS should be compare to COASTAL. aiya. really? I thought their only significant income was chartering. QUOTE(mopster @ Aug 27 2009, 06:06 PM) KNM report out liao 1H net profit 169.872 million (increased 12.94%) http://announcements.bursamalaysia.com/EDM...7E?OpenDocumentNet Profit/Loss For The Period 71,420 96,291 (prev qtr) Basic Earnings/Loss Per Shares (sen) 1.82 2.60 (prev qtr) still think it is a cause for celebration. why KNM is down in the dumps i do not know.

QUOTE(zamans98 @ Aug 27 2009, 06:17 PM) good, so tomolo it can fly 30ctsfixed. edit: btw, mopster the 2.6 sen EPS was for the same quarter but last year. Last quarter they had a 2.51 sen EPS, so QoQ it's down This post has been edited by teehk_tee: Aug 27 2009, 06:29 PM

was watching Bloomberg earlier. there was a very good mention about China curbing on it's huge excess capacity in the manufacturing industry. how this means for Shanghai i don't really know. but i'd be looking strongly towards Chinese sentiments, so i can get all my money out if the trendline is broken downwards. cuz if China sells it's gonna be a BIG selldown.
