hi guys, just found out that BNM is releasing the 2Q GDP results on the 26th (this wed).

not predicting doom here, but i feel the need to maintain a bit of cautiousness.

with other countries exiting recession, if we posted a negative growth in GDP this quarter then we'd enter a technical recession. personally i wouldn't think that was good news, unless if the contraction was minimal (-2%/-3%) then it'd be a sign of the economy being better than worse, which could be good news.

this thing kept me thinking for a while just now. not sure how it'll go down with institutional investors.

what does everyone here think?
