QUOTE(jasontoh @ Aug 19 2009, 04:53 PM) No ideal entry price yet, still depends on the market. If the market is really having correction till October, then by September should start accumulating. In the meantime, just hope all my stocks holding well Ya.....I am holding on to some stocks i hope can weather through if it is really correction. For now, I have decided to sit out until get an idea where this market is heading. I bought the Bstead expecting some support level at 3.60 since it drop from 4.00 all the way here. Seems not right... Anyway, will continue monitoring as still have bullets, albeit limited stock. |

QUOTE(protonw @ Aug 20 2009, 10:08 PM) YTL Power...... It kena high tax.....If you check the results Revenue and Gross Profit (Revenue - Cost of Sales) all still ok.The Board of Directors has recommended for shareholders' approval a single tier final dividend of 3.75% or 1.875 sen per share for the year ended 30 June 2009. Net profit drop from 280m to 9m..... Whats up? But later on, you see that taxation row indicates RM500million this qtr compared to RM87million last qtr. This change drove down the operating profit. According to the review, there was a one off deferred tax charge involving Wessex Water in the UK. This was due to UK Financial Act 2008 that abolished industrial building allowances. According to the report, this is only one time, so next quarter should see it resume to normal EPS. The building allowances must be quite large, resulting in the RM447million tax. This is only one time kena and it did not really affect cashflow of YTLPower. Hence still get little dividend. This post has been edited by VyvernS: Aug 20 2009, 10:47 PM |

QUOTE(protonw @ Aug 20 2009, 10:51 PM) Ya. Too bad as deferred tax is charge back to this quarter. Otherwise the operating profit looks good. Hope next quarter can get better dividend. I think shouldn't be that bad. Power producers still a good industry. Lots of folks buy YTLPower for dividends. Maybe some folks may misunderstand the reason for the drop in the dividends tomorrow and start a sell off. Then I can pick up for a bit cheap price. I'll only get if below RM2.10 though, not sure if it will get to that point. |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Aug 21 2009, 11:13 AM) Eh....you sell surgical mask already? Extra income? I was MC for this whole week, dunno related to H1N1 or not OT: You on MC? I am on MC too...Sore throat and some runny nose...No fever but resting at home....Pana - if Maybulk results are good, will you be holding on to it? Since the BDI is expected to be down, won't this sort of determine that Maybulk may not be performing as good this quarter as it did the previous qtr? |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Aug 21 2009, 11:30 AM) wooo tough decision, as I do not know whether Maybulk could give a sustainable dividends since they've sold their vessel in late March 09. will see how the report goes and only decide. Hmm...Last dividend was 30sen/share. I actually expecting 15sen/share or thereabouts this time round. Although performance may be not as good (ie less bad |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Aug 21 2009, 12:52 PM) 15 cents is on high side already. Maybulk only earn some peanut (a few 1-2 cents) on last Q, unless there is significant improvement from EPS, it is unsustainable for them to continue to give generous dividend. Sad...sad... Given that BDI doesn't recover or goes up, it is very hard to see it reporting sterling performance. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Aug 21 2009, 02:02 PM) In current economy environment, if profit wise is maintained as well as dividend as same, it is considered good liao. Ya, so can't expect good div from Maybulk, and Boustead just Rights Issue too.It is very difficult to see surge in dividend across, may be except a few name only (reit which they have to do so if their EPS increased), as company mostly opt to save some cash for rainy day. Nowadays we see plenty fo right issue (company seek money from you) instead of special dividend (company give money to you). Don't think Bstead will give so nice dividend. But sadly below my expectations. Will not add more to my Boustead stock unless below 3.40 already. Now hibernate at home.... Oooh Ohh...later got TM, wait for the dividend announcment This post has been edited by VyvernS: Aug 21 2009, 02:58 PM |
