I spend 5k on my XPS m1210, and its still kicking up till now. 8years of usage and proud of it. Though LCD had turn yellowish. Bought a 3yrs extended warranty before and no regrets.
Now they offer max 4years for inspiron & 5years for alienware

ok, thank you bro
After updating to the newest NVidia driver, my display got something wrong, the icon I put on desktop doesn't display correctly. I follow the usual procedure uninstall old driver & install new driver.
I then check the resolution was at 1080 as I set. Even after restarting it's still the same. The icon on the right seems like missing the first alphabet, the pixel on the right side screen was eaten up or not displaying properly.
Does anyone encounter this problem on latest driver update. I update my driver through Nvidia Geforce experience.

Did anyone encounter same problem as mine.

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Apr 20 2016, 12:37 AM) Update your drivers. After updating to Realtek's drivers, it's barely noticeable. bro, you update driver from dell's website or you download realtek's driver from elsewhere?

QUOTE(ajaxcbcb @ May 9 2016, 08:40 AM) Feel like getting the 7559. But ideapad 700 is cheaper with better cpu and ddr4 ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. Dilemma Why I buy dell, because of their warranty service. You will not notice the significant difference between DDR3 and DDR4 on daily usage but on benchmark you'll see something. This post has been edited by NewbieBetta: May 9 2016, 06:41 PM

My 7559 battery may last 7-8hr i5 processor. Only when doing word, some internet browsing and no heavy application for processor.
ANyone tried using DDR3L 1866Mhz in their 7559? How was it?

Do you guys have problem with your 7559 suddenly screen blackout without any reason. Mine can happen when its downloading torrent, transferring files. I tied Dell stress test but did not found any error, so I restore factory setting still it happen.
This only happen after I updated my 7559 with all the files from dell website.

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ May 22 2016, 11:12 PM) Screen blackout or forced shutdown? Mine had a forced shutdown (that made the laptop not able to power back up after 10mins) that required changing the motherboard. After changing it, no more forced shutdowns. Symptom is letting the laptop sit idle at night, if it shuts down, you will not be able to power it on again until you let the laptop be for like 10mins. My guess is some kind of thermal throttling or thermal setting that tripped the thermal threshold too easily at certain idle conditions. It may went blackout anytime, everyday may happen once. At first I suspect was Nvidia shield programme. Even I had uninstall the Geforce experience programme it still black out. I suspect after installing Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework, my laptop I remember it come without this software, but I saw it on Dell website so I just updated it. I had make mistake by installing a few diff update, including Dell bios.

QUOTE(iwubpreve @ May 30 2016, 08:19 AM) it not work like that for UEFI thingy anyway i find the solution in this thread by shawty. need flash the windows 10 to usb as GPT partition. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3839118/allwill try to9. it should be working. My case, because I have a system image file, so I did system restore image through F12>restore image files from driver. Because I remove my SSD from the system and when I plug it back, my windows cant load anymore. But at this moment, my system will blackout by itself, I had call Dell technical support & they said it happen to some of the unit due to Intel HD 530 & Nvidia 960GTX drivers. Who knows what really happen. but it really annoy me it happen daily. I'm waiting for them to replace my mobo. This post has been edited by NewbieBetta: May 31 2016, 12:06 AM

It seems like not just me alone, someone out there with Inspiron 7559 will face random crash "screen blackout".
I contacted Dell Technical Support and they told me it was Intel HD Graphic 530 problem, they previously did the latest driver update for me, The "screen blackout" didnt happen that frequent but it still happening.
47100: Do you still face the same problem after updating? Im using driver version 20.19.15.4454, mind guys in here that have no problem share your driver ver.?
