A hybrid hdd might boot up slightly faster then a regular hdd but depand on the spec. Apps also load faster.
But if you want to experience better performance, get a ssd..its alot (up to 4x) better then those 2 hdd.

Yes it will be slightly faster, but on my 7447. My boot time is like only 10seconds. But it depends, I don't know why though. hmm.gif

Hi Inspiron user,
Anyone using Inspiron 14 3459 (http://www.dell.com/my/p/inspiron-14-3459-laptop/pd?oc=w510807myw10&model_id=inspiron-14-3459-laptop)?

I am planning to buy this laptop and upgrade the ram to 8gb later.

Any exisiting user has review about this laptop, like the wifi port isit stable, etc. ? my budget is less than RM2.5k. It seems to me it is an affordable buy, looking that I am finding a laptop with 8gb ram later on and a light laptop for travelling

SSD is a must these day, I was stuck with the default 1tb 5400 hdd, the boot up speed and app launching speed were miserable

Is there anyone else that have the problem with random CPU spikes when opening program on 7559? Or is it a Windows 10 issue?

Hi, 15" 7559 user here.
On first day of arrival, I did data migration to my SSD 850 Evo M.2 500GB. Sadly, the startup time wasn't as fast as I expected so I did some test.

Using Samsung Magician, my read and write speed reached the advertised speed but it's not the case for random read and write. I think its around 40k-50k out of advertised 96k on Random Write while it was mere 20k or so for Random Read. Do note OS optimization is set to Performance and OP allocated is 250GB.

It was frustrating because my old Dell SXPS16 (4 or 5 years?) although with Sata II port and using 840 Pro 256GB in Win7, the startup time is on par if not faster than my current laptop. Even the shutting down time is slow.

Hopefully someone can shed some light onto my case.

Roughly 20 seconds?
I off Fast Startup at Power Option because if I left it on, once I shut down the comp the light would still remained on even though the screen is off which is a nuisance for me. Then I have to wait the light completely go off before I can start it back.

I was expecting a <10s startup...
