About CoolStreaming

CoolStreaming is an implementation of DONet, a Data-driven Overlay Network for live media streaming. The core operations in DONet are very simple: every node periodically exchanges data availability information with a set of partners, and retrieves unavailable data from one or more partners, or supplies available data to partners.

CoolStreaming (originally named HotStreaming) has attracted over 30000 distinct users with more than 4000 simultaneously being online during broadcasting of the EuroCup 2004 soccer tournament.

Then only when i start the topic , people only start to share. It should had been post long ago.

However as many people watch the ESPN the better the quality u will get. Sometimes u have to wait for some time for the video to get smooth.

what connection r u guyz using??
512k or 1mbps??

I can't even watch it, too slow.
But the radio, real smooth.

Please use correct player or upper to open http://localhost:6789/1.asf if no player pops out.

u can play the channel using IE if u dun have newer version on WMP.

can u believe it? i just watched ars vs magpies by this software! almost no lagging at all except a very little lagging at last few mins. btw my line is 512 only not just can watch but can surf one or two site at same time

i watched 380kbps -cctv1 if i not mistaken. it used real player one. real player much better than wmp in streaming video.

how to use Real player to open it? can give some guides? thanks...
btw..im using Real Player 10

well actually some streaming server use rtsp protocol which is support by real player. so u no need to open real player, just select channel u wan, if they use rtsp, yr real player will pop up automatically. for 1M and above line user, i really curious how good is the quality of 700kbps streaming...wowow...must be dvd quality liao

2nite will try to watch again...btw my one dun have espn in the list? anyone got?

hmm, got sofa and comfortable couch waiting for me outside in the living room, with ASTRO of course.....

BTW, ESPN is all EPL only.... I want some other channel other than those at ASTRO.....

there is no ESPN listed on the program....is it listed under other name...

i got two channel with the word sport on it....

ccn #1 (sport , btv-6) and ccn #4 (sport , btv-5)

no ah .. 4 me it's listed as " ESPN (temp) " .. like tat

i have to same too.. the best channel i watch which has lease problem was the starmovie... all channel to me is dammmmm lag.. cannot hear wat r they talking aso.. the picture take more than 30 seconds to move.. donno wat happen
