Yes. To play from North America you must purchase a North American copy of the game. To play from Europe you must purchase a European copy of the game. Note that this restriction impacts where you can play from, not which game worlds you can choose to play on.

So, if i PO from GW2 site, it will be tied to which region? EU or North America?

After reading some previous post, seems like the 'region' stuff wont be an issue here if we pick Malaysia as our address during registration.

I've understood that if our country selected is Malaysia and based on our IP address, we will connect to US server by default.

This is my first time PO from digital download. Of all this time, I buy retail box at our local store only. But for this game, man I cant wait, I want to participate in beta

Pls, correct me if I'm wrong. I just wanna have some more clearer picture before I purchase this tonite.

ahh I see. Coz i probably will ask my fren to buy the game for me as I dont have credit card. But if debit card is cheaper, than I just go buy myself.

If im not mistaken, some credit card got interest and some dont when purchasing via online? is this true? just wanna ask if u guys dont mind.

oh..the beta client is not release yet? but how come i saw some ppl already started to download eh? (some of them posted bout arena net downloader is very good one, bla bla bla..this indicating they already started download? no? )

I dono, I ask only. coz Deimos said the arenanet downloader is very smart one. So i tot he already can download.

I tried yesterday but cannot one, they ask for serial number/code if im not mistaken. Actually that is my concern, how to register a new aGW account if I dont have the code. I dont have GW1 account too.

So I assume :
