QUOTE(mpyw @ Sep 18 2009, 08:11 AM) Finished Valkyrie last night.... For a non-action war movie...it's surprisingly good with non-stop tense and suspense, it glued you to the couch. PQ/AQ are 5 stars material...some of the airplane scene can use for demo for surround effect and some deep LFE as well.... Really....wah, I've to watch it during this long break lah. I've got Valkyrie lying around for 2 weeks oredi but still haven't unwrap yet...

QUOTE(low98944 @ Sep 18 2009, 05:14 PM) Ultimate Editions Announced for First Two Harry Potter Movies Available on December 8, 2009. Include a lot "extra". Those who purchase Harry Potter year 1 to 5 may regret by now. Link to www.blu-ray.com I only like Harry Potty 1, 3 & the latest one 6. I don't mind these 3 on Ultimate Edition... QUOTE(the jazzman @ Sep 20 2009, 12:08 AM) or better yet, this.... The Fifth Element (Remastered) Blu-ray A note on how to identify this edition on store shelves: While the box art for this remastered edition is nearly identical to the earlier Blu-ray release, the words "Experience High Definition" appear in silver foil, (not gray), and Dolby TrueHD is listed among the audio tracks on the back of the box on this new edition.Hi-def Digest Review

QUOTE(moomoos @ Sep 20 2009, 09:27 AM) yeap it does 1080/60i, funny thing from disc load, it doesn't stop at menu, just played the movie straight ( gave me 2nd thoughts that it might just be a direct copy from DVD.. haha ( even DVD got menu) the menu does come out when i press the button only.... Just for your info, Warner Brothers blu-ray releases never had any menu... plays straight when inserted, which I kinda prefered actually

QUOTE(ar188 @ Sep 20 2009, 10:50 AM) why not? with the BDJ menu, I kind of like the talking skull of POTC series.. Ok, I understand... it's not that I loathe animated features or all that brilliant menu features, it's just that I don't quite fancy when you have to wait for certain animation or sequences to finish before you can actually proceed straight to the main feature especially when it cannot be skipped. The same goes to those sneak preview trailers most famously from Disney's... but luckily they can be skipped But nothing more annoying than the FBI warning straight on when you actually playing an original copy!!!?!

QUOTE(moomoos @ Sep 20 2009, 10:30 AM) thanks for the info.... never knew of that kinda of stuff Added on September 20, 2009, 10:35 ameh... maybe mistaken.. but remembered some WB still stop at menu ....recalling .... recalling That must've been Clone Wars if not mistaken... Yeah, you're right... not all Warner's, but most recently and majority of them go straight to main feature with default audio. Added on September 20, 2009, 11:51 amQUOTE(ar188 @ Sep 20 2009, 11:43 AM) FBI logo is meant to be played on ori copy mah.. Ya lar, but can always put at the back after the end credits mah...
