im going to buy things from US. im waiting the supplier to send me final invoice with shipping.

my items are actually taxable item.

however, the supplier willing to declare the item to those non taxable item, i.e. baby item (maybe tak kena tax) and also supplier willing to reduce the purchase value in the invoice in order to ensure that purchase value + shipping not more than rm500. however, he reminded me that, the insurance then will be under insured since the amount declared is lower dy.

but after i read through the thread here, looks like there 50:50 possibility the parcel will get lost too.

fyi, i will be using Priority International Mail, which i believe expected to reach MY in latest two weeks?

if the item really lost half way, and im not buying through ebay...then who shall i claim the insurance? inform the seller?

insured item only can be claim by sender.if item lost buyer only can ask for a refund frm seller.

thanks !! guess i better use priority mail since it is insured. looks like got chances of lost parcel...my items worth more than RM700.

i have bought one item from USA last week. My last shopping, i lost two parcels from USA, so i requested the seller to upgraded my shipping to Priority mail international with tracking number. I confident with priority mail since i never lost the parcel with this option.

The problem is, the seller gave me the tracking number for my parcel start with LK which is familiar with custom form number. AFAIK, this custom form cannot be trace once it leave USA. Normally Priority Mail start with C like CP, CQ...

i tried to contact seller and he claimed that the number was generated when he printed the label. (he did through online). No other number on the label.

So, how i can make sure the item arrive at malaysia if i cannot track the parcel locally? i afraid i will lost the item.

OK. I used priority mail international parcel. once parcel reach malaysia, where to track the status? is it under PosDaftar?

If the tracking number start with C like CP, CQ, or else, i used this web http://www.track-trace.com/.

From here, it will automatically navigate to local tracking.

i checked mine. seller post on 11 aug. reach klia on 15 aug. but dont know kena tax or not .. seller already helped to declare low low value

Wow!lucky for you. only took 3 days to arrived here. Mine, the seller posted on 4th aug. now, nothing news since i cant trace the item. The seller using priority mail flat rate box...nothing i can do. hope it will arrive safely at my doorstep.

my seller also use priority mail. but i duno if it is flat rate box or what la. if priority mail..u can trace!

and i just checked my parcel status...i guess should lepas custom dy..bcoz now the status is "send to domestic location"
