Metroid Prime: Trilogy is an action-adventure video game compilation developed by Retro Studios, to be published by Nintendo for the Wii video game console. It features Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on a single dual-layer disc. The former two, which were originally released for the Nintendo GameCube, have been updated with many of the features that were first implemented in the latter. It is set for release in North America on August 24, 2009, in the UK on September 4, 2009, and in Australia on October 15, 2009. The Collector's Edition will be packaged in a metal tin, contain an art booklet, and include other undisclosed features.

You can either rest your arm on something (like an armchair) while pointing the Wiimote, or you can move down the sensor bar so you don't need to raise your arm too high.

Then when you're entering Hypermode how?

Nope you can't. And why bother with analogue sticks when Wiimote + Nunchuk is more superior when playing the game?

If you're tired after playing for extended period, I suggest you take a rest for a while before playing again.

just received my copy from Play-asia ... but unfortunately ... my Wii has got problems reading dual-layer discs already !

anyone knows where i can purchase the US version of Wii cleaning kit ? i don't think the JP version sold at PAsia can work on US Wii right ?

update: after numerous attempts, the wii finally detects the disc and everything seems to function without a hitch. will report again once i switch off the machine later to see if it reads the disc again !

update #2: looks like it does not recognize the disc anymore. now would hv to wait for cleaner kit to arrive 1st. will update if it works after cleaning.

And to facilitate pointing the wiimote, rest your wrist on your legs, while you're SITTING down~!

I myself prefer using pads to play games as well, it's all down to preference, no one is right or wrong. I'll try my best to avoid using Wiimote for control when ever possible.

Bro, yeah I do agree pads are well to play games with almost any genre, be it fighting, platforming, action etc.

But still, the pads cannot come close to what the Wiimotes can do or offer on a FPS game.
Like aiming, using the Wiimote pawns the pads if there's any deathmatch going on between 2 users of the 2 controls.

First of all before you continue to rant endlessly in this thread, have you tried the solutions we've suggested to you? (resting your arm on an armchair, lowering/ repositioning the sensor bar, etc).

I've played MP3 from start to finish and I find the controls very natural, even superior than the mouse+keyboard setup on PC FPS. And I hardly have to take a break from playing.

There's no way that Nintendo will waste time and resources trying to add in additional controls that are far more inferior than the ones currently offered. If you find it hard to accept...... Sorry, I don't think Wii is the console for you.

update #3 for those who encounters same problem of a wii game on dual-layer disc NOT LOADING due to disc read error, i can confirm that AFTER CLEANING the lens with official wii cleaner kit IT WORKS !!!

both SSBB and MP Trilogy now loads without a hitch on my US wii
