so everyone here agree there is no substitute for a good gym and that's home based is no better than gym its is efficiency. if normal result can been seen from a month time, you get to say that its take 2 - 3 month time more would really demotivate anyone.  cry.gif gettting out of the hole you say is not option as i was kinda under contract to work in some god forsaken place.
Actually, it depends how smart are you in your exercise planning. And your diet.
If you have a pair of dumbbells (that can adjust to very heavy) and a pull up bar, and you're disciplined enough... Then you're good to go. I would also make a sandbag if I train at home.

You'll obviously have to train smarter (due to the limited equipment & weights).
I sometimes pull 2 chairs together and do dips, hold a heavy wooden chair (as a weight) for Turkish-get-ups & pistols, get under the table and do a reverse row, push a car (haven't done this yet).

A suggestion would be to learn to do single leg movements e.g. bulgarian split squat, pistols, single leg Romanian deadlift, lunges, lunges jump, step ups, etc (all can be done by holding dumbbells). And power movements like dumbbell swings & dumbbell snatches.
