KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 — Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd (SPNB) has proposed two new extensions for the Kelana Jaya and Ampang Light Rail Transit (LRT) lines which are estimated to cost RM7 billion.

Managing Director Datuk Idrose Mohamed said the proposed Ampang LRT line extension will begin from the Sri Petaling Station, passing through Kinrara and Puchong before ending at Putra Heights, covering 17.7km with 13 new stations.

The Kelana Jaya LRT extension will begin from the Kelana Jaya Station, passing through 13 new stations, including Subang Jaya and USJ, before ending at Putra Heights, covering 17km.

Idrose said SPNB would raise RM4 billion in bonds to part finance the project which is expected to be completed by end of 2012.

All the stations will have facilities such as lifts, escalators, suraus, public phones and toilets.

The stations will also be equipped with facilities for the disabled such as ramps, lifts, tactile tiles, low ticket counters and toilets.

The proposed new alignment will be on display for three months from tomorrow for the public to give their feedback by visiting the designated locations or visit the dedicated website set up for the purpose, he told a media briefing.

SPNB said a conditional approval was obtained on Aug 25 while the final go-ahead will be received after the public display.

The five places where the new alignment will be on display are the Department of Railways at Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin; Kuala Lumpur City Hall building at Jalan Raja Laut; Petaling Jaya City Council building at Jalan Tengah; Subang Jaya Municipal Council building at Persiaran Perpaduan USJ5, Subang Jaya; and Shah Alam Municipal Council building at Persiaran Perbandaran in Shah Alam.

The display hours are from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. It will be closed on weekends and public holidays.

All feedback will be channelled to the Department of Railways. The public can write in their comments in the log book placed at the display locations.

The public can also view the alignment via www.dor.gov.my and give their feedback. — Bernama

hey guys, i just dropped by the sales office on my way back frm work just now. had a short chat with the SA and he told me that they're moving their office to the new location on 10/10 but the showroom will apparently not open on the same date as they need some time to prep things up wor. he said they'll contact the buyers moving forward, to inform them of the showroom opening date... 

anyone else can confirm abt this?

If the single lane ramp into BK4/5 can cater seamless traffic for residents of BK4, BK5, Taman Damai Utama etc etc, what chances is the BK9 ramp can get congested?

i expect the road to bkt jalil will be congested now..
wondering if they will take up 1 lane of the 2 lanes there or not.. which will create bottleneck there..

how long is the contruction gonna take?

i meant that during construction, it will take up the road..
i think mentioned before that it will be on the left side shoulder not the middle divider..
even the plastic dividers are setup on the left hand side..
and usually any constructions also will take up part of the hiway..
so i expect traffic jam until august 2011!!?? that hiway already jam teruk early morning..

As for me, mantaining my earlier forecast ie to price my Zest unit at 15% discount over its equivalent units selling at  in Setia Walk. If the new launches in SW are going for 600psf........... then will let go my unit once I receive an offer approx 510k...... 

Revising my anticipated rental rates upwards for Zest to start from 1.5k basic to 2.3k f/f.............
