Surefire E2DL just updated, with 200 lm now!!!!

So Old Newspaper, you have another choice, I might want to encourage you to get this ?? cheaper than LX2, and don't have the clip-rubbing-tail issue. Oh, it tail stand too!

Since the price in Malaysia is expensive, so may be you can be local dealer ??? drool.gif

me become a local Surefire dealer?   laugh.gif  shakehead.gif i have no intention to become dealer/reseller of any particular brand at alll...  shakehead.gif , our existing few flashlight dealer/seller is good enough !  rclxms.gif maybe just ask them to carry Surefire in future?

ha ha, don't mean that kind of dealer, but if someone help sending from US already good. Like order the surefire, then send via registered mail ? blush.gif

Hmm, may be Polkiuj ?? since he has parcel shipping in from US regularly??

You know, I just noticed last night when looking at my TK40, one of the die appear a little brownish, the other 3 has a slight shading around it... shocking eh. I remember, it was on turbo at least 15mins+ when we were comparing beams, and a 5 mins+ strobey later. Continuos operation was mostly on low/medium when we were walking and chatting.

So far, I've used medium for 3 hours and high for 45 minutes continuously without issues though. With the diameter of the TK40's heatsink, did not expect that it's still a danger at 10 mins+ operation without cool air flowing. My TK40 is still okay though, still looks bright, but I think it already had some lumen casualties.
*
I think Fenix over drive in the Turbo mode, as I told you before, it happened to me on the Fenix P3D, 30 min in Turbo, the plastic dome lens (what it called ah?) cover the LED will be over heated and become brownish. Though the die may be a bot yellow also, but the dome lens will kill alot of lumens. Take a photo may, for us to see?

So for Fenix owners, check your manual, it says don't run on Turbo for more than 10/15 mins. (Silly clause rclxub.gif ) only found out after I burnt the P3D. (it was fixed and now become the world's most Yellowish Fenix laugh.gif , that is a long story the course of fixing the light)

I am not sure is any McD customer got blinded, but there is one fellow sneak in and take a look at one or two light, luckily he did not run with it. brows.gif

Errr, it looks like it really has an overheated burnt mark, it is exactly what happy to me before. But the MCE is ok, since the brown mark is at the side, mine was in the middle, so it has a dark shadow on the hot spot.

But I got it removed now, haha, but too dangerous and it was Q5, it has only 1 dome lens. (I accidentally heat it when I want to heat the paint, and a layer of burnt plastic fell off, and it has no more mark. DON't try it, I was just lucky.) laugh.gif

How abuut another gathering? I'm coming to KL on 4th Nov. 2 nights (wed & thr) at Nikko hotel, Ampang park. We can do some B/S/T and modding. (Anyone know how to take the Q5 out of the A9? I wantto replace it with MC-E or P7 pill)... in the hotel room or somewhere outside, as long as got LRT station nearby. drool.gif  I am interested to compare the throw of my MG RX-1 with the PL-1.
*
Changing the flashlight from Q5 to MCE or P& required to change the driver too, due to the fact that MCE and P7 uses 2-3 times more current. Some manufacturer glue the head , so user cannot access the LED (like Fenix); which you need to heat the head to soften the glue, and then open it with either a rubber strap wrench (like this one http://www.tools.com.my/modules/shoppingca...ls.php?id=15175 ), or like me , use anti slip mat (haha))

I don't have any Tiablo , but I will try search. Usually if it is hidden, then that means the manufacturer glue it. Try look for any part that between the head and the body, does it feel like there is a removable head/part , like the Fenix P3D /PD30 head for comparison.

Individual nick Engraving is great!!

3 brightness mode with strobe/sos ok, but prefer memory mode (with saving the mode if not on-off for 2 second, like the solarforce L2), so every time your turn on it is like single more torch, but will not save the strobe/SOS mode , then it is perfect.

Designing the body?, hmm, can, but if we cannot come out if the CNC diagram/files for them, maybe we choose a similar body and then as a minor touch up (avoid infringe of copyright/industrial design issue), I like jetbeam body though. tongue.gif

1x123 or 2x123/18650 is ok with me, but if it is Surefire 6P /P60 compatible then it is more fun, you can use surefire (or other compatible maker's) accessories, drop in , tailcaps , wah, then it will be a perfect light, that I wanted!!!

6P compatible is ++++++++ wah,

but from the picture ah, I cannot see it support P60 drop in, may be just the tailcap that is compatible, not the P60 drop in?? (the head seems like a jetbeam , or fenix, which you cannot access it like a P60 drop in.
