any good recommendation for hybrid string for use on a clay court? together with it tension value?

hmm.gif ...any arguments on why the need to change strings depending on court type? ...an honest question... don't see the need, but then again, I am not string-sensitive (in other words, whatever strings happen to be not too cheap & not expensive will be the one I choose biggrin.gif) and am from a different generation, so maybe times have changed... anyway, to try and answer, when we used to train (part of the time on clay courts) our coach never told us to change strings or racquets, so I would say just stick with what you are currently using and comfortable with... just brush up on technique (more spin would be helpful) and stamina, oh and footwork on clay is a bit different too!... ahhh miss the dusty stuff... very easy on the knees... a b1tch to chase those drop-shots though...

*sigh* ...another week of knowing no tennis to be played... i think i must go to the mbmb courts and see if there are any half-decent players that I can beg to play with... the dilemma is, I can't bring myself to play with beginners (no offence to beginning players, good on you, but you know...), yet I realise my strokes are not good enough (yet) to play with established players... aiseh the paradox of being me... play with dinding la again...

My lonesome update:

...Went to Yan's recommended tennis shop at Bukit Baru, Melaka on Saturday to restring my racquets... met the owner, Raymond but could not mention Yan's name since maybe just nickname (sorry Yan!) or might have got bigger discount biggrin.gif ...anyway, real nice guy, that Raymond... after thinking about it, decided to put the tension at 62lb only, since I have no idea how my strokes are like... picked up the racquet 3 hours later and the restringing service is quite good... physically looks good. went to mbmb courts to see if there is any kaki i can tumpang, sadly only me and my kids there. Proceeded to play with my old friend, the wall and racquets feel nice... maybe it is my memory, but feel like shots lack the usual pop... shots sound very pingy too... never remembered that... and hitting way too much shots at the crown... but overall, I think I have the wall in my back pocket that day... (oh lost one ball too... stupid wall too short!)

...mana la wey orang melaka wink.gif

Any of you guys watched the macau invitational something or the other on astro yesterday evening? sampras vs agassi, then they doubled up to play with two up-and-coming juniors... very entertaining matches... sampras still wipes the court with agassi sadly... and dang! agassi needs to watch those bratwursts for breakfast... he seems quite tubby biggrin.gif
