Great story there Mikahl. You're an expert in my book, knowing from experience is the way. I dream to have a dedicated Hi-Fi setup someday, good music does indeed makes you happy. I surely feel relaxed listening to my current home theatre-dedicated setup, really longing for proper setup. biggrin.gif

Personally I would repair the KEFs because they are floorstanders. This is not to say that floorstanders are exclusively better than bookshelves. For the right price, there are many bookshelves that can out perform many floorstanders but I would replace floorstanders with bookshelves only if they were significantly better. Another thing to consider is the stands or placement of the bookshelves. A lot of emphasis is placed having proper stands for the bookshelves because the surface on which you place them does affect the sound. Believe it or not, despite the name, your bookshelf is one of the worst places to put your speakers if sound is of any concern to you.

Lastly, by repairing the KEFs you could trade them in or sell them off 2nd hand if you really wanted new speakers.

RM2,200 - way too expensive for a Titan.
