I would prefer the KEFs. If he's not familiar with Mission or Wharfedale, audition is the best. I've owned Wharfy 9.1 before, good dependable speakers, just that it's really warm. I prefer a more balanced sound.

And yes, I bought my Wharfy 9.1 for just over RM700 if I can remember correctly.

Great story there Mikahl. You're an expert in my book, knowing from experience is the way. I dream to have a dedicated Hi-Fi setup someday, good music does indeed makes you happy. I surely feel relaxed listening to my current home theatre-dedicated setup, really longing for proper setup.
