QUOTE(enzim10 @ Oct 21 2009, 02:19 PM) Sometimes it's not only about the price. You have to see if the car coolant contains chemicals that might react with the copper blocks within your loop, etc. I'm sure you don't want bad things to happen. I will not gamble on the car coolant and rather stick with distilled water. |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Dec 3 2009, 01:54 PM) I got a few questions. Should i user Feser or should i use distilled water? my advice for wc newbie always go for low conductivity item by using feser one coolant and forgot the rumours says it will tilt after sometimes. Why? Because i experienced myself when i put the compression fittings on the GPU waterblock (swiftech MCW-60), and suddenly the o-ring is not enough to stop the water from leaking over my 2nd gc. hahaha.. at that times, nothing happen and it not cause any short to my gc board. Imagine if you're using the distilled water or battery water which is still a water with high conductivity, my board will be surely damaged.... Everyone is saying distilled is cheaper and a better cooling source then Feser and liquid of those sorts which are expensive gimmicks. But if using distilled, where should i buy from and what should i put in it when using? I'm scared if i used distilled, i won't know how to maintain it Please advise. After you know how to handle all the things on wc then, you can go for distilled water or battery water which is a cheap source for watercooling. Who said distilled water never give any problem? hahahaha ask mr martin (R4st4m4n) about it... He said that his tubing got algae after sometimes using the distilled water. so? |
