Guys, if a counter was given as dividend-in-specie, and a while later the counter declared dividend, will the shareholders who got it as
dividend-in-specie, get the dividend as well ? This post has been edited by nujikabane: Aug 10 2009, 06:49 PM |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Aug 10 2009, 11:53 PM) A lot of time, market crash around this time Sep or Oct. I think it is circumstantial, relating those events to the fact after it had happened.Last year the big bear in multi-decade started and take control around September as well, which nosediving event start due to Lehman. 911. 1929 crash 1987 crash The previous recession of 2002 also hit the low point during September Don't know it is coincidence or not. Don't mean to say Sep is a dangerous month, just it is the history of the market. Edited, after I posted, I also found this is an interesting fact/history as well. I mean, it is a bit like reading yesterday's horoscope and said that yes, maybe the things written in the horoscope is right because some things happened just like what the horoscope said it would. More like you read it and you find an event in your life that day that is the same as what the horoscope said. The list shows some 4 events about the market crash in September. In the other years, surely there have been other months where market have crashed, wasn't it ? I believe that if one is to chart the time the market slides, one would know that the market can crash at any months, and that in the course of the decades, the months where the market could have crashed would be the same, whether it be September, or any other months That brings to mind, the great depression, 1924, did it start on September as well ? |

QUOTE(Neo18 @ Aug 11 2009, 09:19 PM) actually, And most of the time, the stock that he chose rises because many of his followers bought the stocks he's suggesting uncle sam is 80% wrong... he sold off most of his share when KLCI was 1050... now only got around 50k.. he is right 20% of the time.. so actually, he is not so great... And at other times, in general all stocks are rising in price, including the stock that he suggests. I like reading to his blog, but I seldom buy the stocks that he suggests, because most of the time the price has surged, dun want to kejar, lol |

It's simple, call your remisier
Just click on the calculator, in the "I would like to choose the following settings to calculate transaction cost" click Settings, click New, and then find "minimum brokerage", set it based on what your broker actually charges you. |

LOL now I'm beginning to hate 1 lot batang.
There's two counters in which I got a partial match of 1 lot, lol now blur whether to lower down the price or just hold on. All i know is that if I hold on and there are no more buyer, than I'll lose money due to commission charges, haha |

Just a question guys.
Can anyone explain how warrants for the same counter behave so differently ? For example, Bursa. Bursa-CL is picking up in price today, however Bursa-CN is dipping. Anyone got any explanation for this ? Isn't it simple logic that if the mothershare rises, the warrant would follow suit? |
