A question guys, am curious about something.
I wonder how could warrants for the same counter behave so differently? I take for example Bursa-CL & Bursa-CN. Whilst Bursa-CL is rising, Bursa-CN is dipping. I mean, how could that happened? Shouldn't the warrants behave like its mothershare, meaning that if the mothershare price rises, the warrants would follow suit ? |

^ Or you could have post what you think about the counter here, no ?
Would not be that easy to browse & search your huge blog to find that one piece of news about the counter, wouldn't it ? LOL This post has been edited by nujikabane: Aug 13 2009, 10:44 PM |

QUOTE(debbieyss @ Aug 13 2009, 10:32 PM) Yup, he's the master of warrants, but even he is not answering me. QUOTE nujikabane, sold liao then forget it liao, dont look back. so dont bother to find the answer too LOL I am just using Bursa warrants as example, because that is one that I can think of. Regarding my question, I think the only two reasons of such behavior I could think of are : [1] Human psychology ( <--- thanks God for spellcheck, if not I would have misspelled it, lol) [2] Date of expiry. If the date of expiry is still far away, the volume is low, and less likely to follow mothershare price. But the second reason doesn't justify why one warrant rises, yet the other warrant of the same mothershare could dip. I could be wrong, though This post has been edited by nujikabane: Aug 13 2009, 10:47 PM |

QUOTE(Joy~ @ Aug 13 2009, 10:54 PM) Personally, I think why Bursa-CL up but not the Bursa-CN: Hm seems logical, very logical indeed. Now I will check out warrants for other counters and see if it holds true 1) Bursa-CL got lower premium than Bursa-CN....much lower. For conversion, Bursa-CL is 5:1, 5x0.675+5=8.375; Bursa-CN is 10:1, 10x0.2+7.2=9.2...much higher than its mother share price currently. 2) Bursa-CN was issued last Friday...and currently price is higher than issue price and maybe many ppl will sell for profit. Today is T+4 for Bursa-CN. Just my 2 cent opinion... |

Usually how does the market behave when a company declares rights issue?
Will the price drop or will it rise ? A case in point, GPacket has recently declare rights issue, but seeing from the response, I've seen the price continues to rise, it is as if the investors do want to take up the rights issue and have confident in the market. Can anyone elaborate? |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Aug 19 2009, 01:11 AM) Mostly share price will drop when RI is known/announced, because company want more money from you instead give money to you, so this is not something good news. In the case of Gpacket, the rights issue will be available to those who have the shares on the 2nd September. How will the price be adjusted? The share rise afterwards for GPacket or any other stocks related to RI, is more about general market trend and individual stock issue already. Is it the same as in the case of ex-daete for dividends ? In the last post you did write about rights issue, you said that it depends on the intention of the company to declare rights issue. Gpacket needs more capital for expansion purposes, not unlike Mulpha who said it is being used to repay debt. Can we assume that the investor view it in a positive way, thus the share price rises because they have faith in the management and in the likely possibility for the company to expand ? |
