Going straight down or not will not impact most of us, as Mr #1 is out there planning his way to green. Go green.  laugh.gif
Btw, 1.6B AS1B taken up, so it is just a matter of time before reinforcement will arrive  brows.gif  brows.gif . So, soldiers....hang on tight
*
Oh...interesting news.... brows.gif
1. Was the 1.6billion figure published somewhere?
2. Which counters do you think they will <ahem>. "support"?

yes, im clearing off, once it hit the ABP, will lelong all. Stated with Sealink, sold 2/3 today. Next to clear is SCOMI and SAAG.

Im converting to cash slowly.. Eyeing only 1 stock, will shift to that stock only. So that I can sleep at peace.

I have narrow down to 3 stocks. 2 are FINANCE and 1 is CONSUMER (Trading/Services).

TARGET to clear all : MID NOV 09

Never mind.....you are not alone...
Me too holding SAG, SCUMMY and LIONCRAP......

CIMB, SIME, TENAGA, AXIATA?  hmm.gif
*
Already got two of those in the freezer for a rainy day....TNB is interesting but it's just such an awfully run and managed company.... hmm.gif
SIME is a mess - of course is like buying stock in the GUBMINT - but I just wish they had a bit more focus than always wanting a finger in every pie...... yawn.gif

For SHIAAG, it cost me nearly 10K to average down to 0.31 from 0.37..

Next week, planning to average SCUMMY. Wait for MONKEY to rescue cronies counter.
*
That's all I can hope for as well....that some Goreng merchants will rescue us from SHAG and SCUMMY..... icon_question.gif
To make things worse - I also holdlng (3297) ALLCRAP!!

Gawd Almighty - what a ******** DOG that is..... shakehead.gif

Axiata, Maybank and TM hmm.gif

Now THAT is an interesting selection rclxms.gif
AXIATA I got in the cupboard already....
I'm holding PBB and Commerz at the moment and there was someone on here earlier who was saying to dump one of them (can't remember which one) and go into MAYBANK....

They main thing that worries me about MAYBANK is that they have done some really, REALLY stupid things recently....and how do I know they won't do so again? hmm.gif

SCUMMY MARINE 2ND Quarter profit up 55%, will that help to push up SCUMMY ? They are independent in KLSE though..  hmm.gif

David, what is ALLCRAP (3297) ? I cant find it on KLCI..

Most likely they'll dump the AS1M 1.6B into CIMB/MBB and soon to relist MAXIS  brows.gif
*
oops.gif
Sorry: 3697 tongue.gif

Seems like MBB will be a popular GUBMINT goreng stock.... hmm.gif
Thought Mr. Najib's bro was head of CIMB - or did I mistake that??

since this month/sept could be the major turning point or what... i just give some posting which i found quite interesting to read
full article at http://www.kitco.com/ind/Summers/aug112009.html
*
Very interesting post but it would help members evaluate the content of the article better if you pointed out that www.kitco.com is a website that sells GOLD investments and that its primary function is to encourage investors to switch from equities into gold.

Hardly an objective article IMHO hmm.gif

But thank you anyway for the informative post.

I've been tracking GENTING the last few days - thinking to buy to put away in my emergency store cupboard. Seems like it's dropping from 6.40 to 6.10 or so. Any views on when/if to enter??

David, what is your pick between Genting and Maybank?
*
That is exactly what I am trying to decide right now... hmm.gif
I want to get a couple more CI30 counters in my portfolio and I've narrowed it down to Maybank and Genting.....Tending towards getting some Genting at the moment but hoping to get some input from fellow posters on here first....

In term of dividends Genting, maybank and AMMB are not much to offer.

In term of future Growth, AMMB is my preferred choice.

What are actually looking for ?  biggrin.gif

or not yet making up your mind ?
*
Actually looking for a stable counter with good divvy potential that is likely to benefit from the Government money I expect to hit the equity markets September/October onwards....and likely to perform relatively well if the market "re-adjusts"
