Just came back from SengQ QB. RM799 for the Philips BDP3000. It's a no frill basic BDP (no DTS-HD onboard decoder can no media playback on removable memory storage). Take your time, lots of units left.

QUOTE(tracktion3 @ Nov 4 2009, 11:36 AM) SEC Northern region. Price RM599. with 1 year warranty. No HDMI cable provided. Which one are U referring to? BD60 or S350 for RM599?http://www.sec.com.my/b2b/contact/ I used al cheapo HDMI from my samsung DVD. Pannt BD60 really good for BD. We still have lots of DVD and ahem DVD, and the Panny is giving a great performance for these ahem DVD. PQ with upscale to 1080p is much better than my Samsung 1080p up scale. 1. Set up system take less than 5 min. 2. Change setting for audio and video. 3. Update firmware took less than 15min. ( depending on your network speed) I realized loading time is fast. I dont feel delayed at all. Then read the firmware update info and understand why: DMP-BD60 Blu-Ray Disc Player Firmware Version2.1Date of Release10/05/2009 4:00 AMCompatible ModelsDMP-BD60K, DMP-BD601K, DMP-BD605KIssues AddressedIssues Addressed Improves the disc reading time by an average of 5-6 seconds Improves the display of the Lionel Richie Live top menu. Enables Auto Still setting in select BD discs. (Enables "Still Off" setting.) Then I tested the Youtube & Picassa access. I'[m surprise with teh speed for youtube. Watch the trailer for the movie 2012 at youtube with no delay. amazing. But once my other computer is taking the bandwith, it does delayed. But overall, having to access youtube to watch videos is amazing. Picassa photos are cristal clear. Higkly recomend especially at RM599/= I checked SenQ in QB Mall and it is 1899 for the BD60. |

So which is a better buy? BD60 right? Since it is 1 generation newer than the S350. |
