Nice move. Nobody though about that before laugh.gif

If you reformat, the bloatwares and the unnecessary software can be cleaned out. You can have better windows performance with that. But if I were you, I won't reformat now, I will just partition my HDD. I'll format once I got my hand on the Win 7, better.
*
yea...i plan to reformat after receiving my win7...save the trouble =p

i keep try.....click on the validate...again and again.....
when i saw it no response after validate...i redo the whole process again...and again lol
but i wonder how could it be so hard to reg....
*
haha..actually that happened to me too..

but i gave up after a few tries and call straight to the customer service...

if u r really desperate enough...u can actually call dell customer service and ask them to validate internally for u (thats wat i did)...

that would be much smoother....

This has been said many times before.i7 does not boost gaming experience but brings it down due to HT.A better GPU would be much better than a better CPU
*
i actually dont play games..so i dont really know much about this...i m just judging from my personal experience =)

have been using my 1557 for several weeks with window 7 and here are my RM0.02 about this awesome pc

1. backlit keyboard totally rocks (since i like to work in the dark)
2. fairly nice sound quality (considering from a laptop speaker)
3. excellent screen (1080i HD) for DVD viewing
4. not really that heavy (at lease its ok for me) to bring it around

however some downsides that i found (very subjective to individuals)
1. easily get heated up on the left arm rest (common case for every laptop i guess?)
2. finger print nightmare for the surface (the 1 with DELL logo)

overall, i still love my studio 15 XD
