Hi, i am using vista on my 32bit machine. Is it possible to reinstall the OS with win7 64bit? How to check the compatibility?

A Dell service person said current Dell customers are provided with installation CD for win7 that requires no product key. Is this true, anyone has it?

On a side note, my HDD just died after 1.5 year from purchase. I had the extended warranty and it was replaced. The softwares re-installation and settings are a headache.
