which is better overall, this Dell Studio 15, or the Dell Studio XPS 16?

I'm plan to get a studio 15 within this month and due with Dell now.

what offer i can get ? she just provide me an 15 months antivirus.....

i'm take the 2699, add backlit keyboard, 1600*900 WLED and 3 year warranty totally RM 3138.

Hi guys, now studio 15 got 4 packages. RM2699, 3349, 3399 and 4149.
I'm interested with the 3399 package, seems like best bang of the buck among the 4. Some more now got the 48 hours rush deal with rm100 discount.

Honestly, i dun like the special artist cover but now they seems like pushing ppl to take it. Should i get it? is it a good deal?

my laptop will have tat sound occasionally after shut down too
laptop that has best bang of bucks around 3k, of coz might have little problems
3 usb port is ok la
u wont plug in external hdd whole time, so 1 for cooler, 1 for mouse & u still have 1 extra
i myself use usb port to plug external keyboard & mouse in 1 port, another port for cooler, left the e-sata/usb port
now i wonder will my usb port spoil bcoz of a bit more power transfer

Not really many problems compared to the first batch of the S1537, the first batch of that really got a lot of problems.

The only that off to this S15 is the dvd drive, other than that I have no problem whatsoever with the machine.

I also having that click sound, but sometimes got sometimes don't have. Normally the click sound happens after I play games and shut down after more than 8 hours of usage. I running without cooler though

does RO2 demanding a lot on graphics? i played RO2 with full screen(1920x1080), all details high except shadow was off for 30 minutes and the result was 72'C max..

today i installed furmark and i'm able to throttled my GPU to the max(100%) and the result raised up to 98'C within 10 minutes.. that's scrothing hot.. i ran that for a few hours, my laptop feels a bit hot but everything was okay, no laptop shut down, etc..

so far.. i see no significant difference in performance after overclocking GPU, i feel no point overclocking it..

Just ordered my dell Studio 15 today..Hope to recieve it in a few weeks time.

Dell already replace my lcd. I see the tag behind the lcd. It say 15.6 HD. What this mean? Are my lcd already with FULL HD or not? But the new lcd don't hav that tag. Also samsung tag

yep. i knoe 15.6 is length lcd. but the hd. don't see tag hd in the new lcd 

Well, I am going to buy another laptop.
I am looking for similar performance as above. Smooth and fast performance, a built-in graphic card is enough.
My main propose is still the same, internet surfing, Microsoft office, some photo editing, facebook gaming and watch DVD movie.
Please suggest me any notebook that suit my need.
But Intel processor only, Intel served me very well for past 5 years, I am happy with it.
Budget: RM2k – RM3k

i use it for video editting (HD), song editting, lil bit of graphic design, then others will be normal usage...

I dun have that backlit keyboard.. T_T My fault dun install it when ordering it...
