Really? Do everyone HDD run on WD?? I thought Dell randomly select the brand of the HDD.

If all of the S15 users that ordered directly from Dell were using WD HDD, I think that shop better have proper explanation on it. Don't use manager told wrong and Dell gave wrong information this kinda bullshit..not to be a firestone, but if I were you, Ill storm off to that shop and demand an explanation.

I've just got my S15 two days ago.

1. I've been wondering whether should i download those drivers ask suggested from the notice in my box which lead to the result of  35 files available for download from dell download manager. Should i download and install all or just leave it as it is? Any important driver that i need to update it?

-download important or urgent update but ....all teh driver up to date is more recomended...

2. Is ATI CCC modded version more recommended or just uninstall the CCC?

-i duno about the mod version but i personnaly uninstall CCC...

3. Installing dell quickset will show capslocks?? i have uninstalled it so i am not sure. It is good to know that capslock is on though.

-showcapslock is bluetray.exe function not QS... u can get alternative capslock indicator via homepage i think..u can pm me oso to get the link...

4. My highest resolution is 1366x768, but i feel like i want more space. Anyway to increase it (so that can view more stuff such as more names in msn displayed)? i'm not quite adapted to widescreen yet.

-bare wif the wide screen...its adi the highest resolution for normal lcd....widescreen let u look horizontally wide but not vertically...

5. What temperature should i keep the laptop below of? which consider as stable?

-normal usage should be arounf 40+

6. It seems like my dvd-rom is stuck while reading halfway. I opened a disc with burned files and it display all the files but when i click the file it will take a very long time or maybe forever to open it. Is this vista problem (after closing the explorer i receive the permission message from vista)?

-studio dvd rom quite disapointed...

7. My warranty is not registered yet though i ordered online. I suppose i should call dell, but is this problem solve yet for those having it few days or weeks ago?

k k k .. my bad...   ... but he only explains whether the function key will start with normal or multimedia.. but my questions is after login to window how to interchange between normal funtion keys and multimedia keys..eg wan to dimm monitor birghtness then use the F5 for other purposes like when playing games..

well, there are restricitons to how u use Win7 under the MSDNAA license...

1 of the most important 1 is "for research purposes onlt...

and there are qudit checks to it as well...
