i'm using windows 7 home premium and it cannot display chinese word for certain applications like thunder,ttplayer....
as i go thru its regional n language, it says home premium doesnt support MUI--that support win 7 to display chinese word

if i use additional software like chinese star, NJ star, win 7 also wont display the chinese word for those applications that uses chinese word rite?
can anyone provide some suggestions?

when i want to download the driver for my laptop, i noticed that that several driver for Network, there are three drivers there, each for different Wireless LAN component, which one shud i choose? besides Network, there are other drivers that got some problems as well.

when i run game like warcraft, nfs undercover, the resolution is didnt fit the screen of my laptop, but when i run DMC 4 the screen fit automatically. is there any solution to make all game fit to my laptop screen?

the applocale did help.

already tried that, didnt work out.
i changed the system locale, nothing happen.
then i restart windows, also nothing happen.
nothing happen means non-Unicode program still cannot display the non-Unicode word.

I am running it with Avira AntiVir. Try that out. Works fine for me thus far

hey guys..lately i have been experiencing a wierd situation on my laptop..

i have set the setting in bios as "function key first" but after a few days later it will auto set back to "multimedia key first"...

how to permanently set to the "function key first"?  i have "save and exit" during the bios setup...

Really no one facing problem with ur bluetooth??? I can't detect new devices... And even i try to connect from my phone. It will show a device want to connect ... press here to allow.... but after i press nothing will come out!!! I can't detect any devices. Tried many versions of driver whether for studio 1555 or other dell laptop but all not working. Anyone got idea how to solve this??? I tried the update software from broadcom also can't use... Will stuck at detecting bluetooth device.
Any solution for it?? Kindly reply if u got solution...
I checked through google and found that it's either vista sp2 problem or broadcom software problem. But i can't solve it in either way... I found that vista sp2 got new bluetooth function to connect to bluetooth devices but i also cannot find it in my s1555... So troublesome!!! Hope help can be given asap...

The subwoofer on my 1558 has absolutely no sound as well.

I updated to the latest drivers too but still no difference in terms of sound quality.

BTW, does anyone know how SRS Premium Sound is reflected in the Dell Studios ?

Having read the description at their website, I'm beginning to doubt if this was a marketing ploy by Dell as the sound quality on my studio is just marginally better than on my older Compaq :

Also, having read the Studio manual, the laptop is supposed to come bundled with 4 speakers and 1 woofer. Has anyone managed to successfully test all speakers ?

When I tried the Speaker Setup, the only audio that came out was from my L and R speakers.

i just did a clean install of my lappy (studio1558). win7 64bit.
i wonder what else i need to install besides those provided by dell?
as for now even my graphic card couldnt be detected !!   
No scrolling on mouse    etc etc. lotsa problem lol.
Anyway to any sifu out there if possible pls include list of drivers n application to be installed and download link.
