QUOTE(infernoaswen @ May 29 2011, 10:15 PM) last time i saw xoxo pet shop in pet store section giving out syrian hamsters for free.... i did try at the pet store section but then i dont think got ppl selling syriantry searching in the pet store section also....if i m not mistaken last time i came across with someone breading syrian hamster.... edit: also i wouldnt suggest you to get that item that u want....it looks like very open...& see through...most likely your hamster wont sleep in there. try looking for something that is more enclosed....hamster like to hide them self in a dark place....they will sleep & eat in there....try searching for a hamster house. anyway if there isnt proper house he/she might end up sleeping in the tube i saw last time at a petshop, they was selling a hamster house that is not plastic...made from wood & its very nice...sadly it cost a little extra & quite big in size even if got the thread is not updated and it seems the hamsters would have been adults by now plus i saw a person selling 2 for RM XX. i feel that sellers should clearly let buyers know that actually if they want buy two they have to house them seperately even if same sex for syrian so unethical! where is xoxo pet shop ya? i was thinking the item i want. if he doesnt wanna sleep in there, can be a play hide out box just a cute item to add makes it look so homely if he doesnt like it, i'll get him a wooden house plus from the pic http://cgi.ebay.com/SLEEP-N-SLUMBER-BED-HA...f7#ht_500wt_715 the hole for it to enter the thing seems big which is good for syrians many times im afraid of buying toys cause scared my future syrian cant fit |

dont give upp
when your hamster learns that you are its companion, just as you are trying to make it your companion it will stay longer in your palms d cause they trust you and like spending time with you |

QUOTE(cyberheross @ Jun 12 2011, 10:40 AM) Thanks! wow so cool!Nope, it's not about the weather. Its about the amount of light they are exposed to. I don't even have aircond in my room, just normal table fan. It's because he's staying in the box, and it's quite dark inside for most of the time. And winter season is coming, so thats why he changed to winter coat. Most of them change to winter coat at around September. i wish syrian's can change coats too owh anyone has any idea how much a 2 feet tank cost? |

from what i learn in my pet behavioural studies.
its better to buy pet food than to mix your own unless you know the actual nutritional value required for your pet. i dont know what nutrients and what amount of the nutrients is required by a hamster leh.. cannot mix.. |

sorry but i dont believe in simply giving my hammy food without consulting their dietary needs first.
just like humans, we should eat the food in the food pyramid in the amounts recommended, i believe that my hammy should be given a diet that provides all the nutrients he needs its not about survival its about living healthy |
