based on my observation...silent spinner wheel has higher possibilities for hamster to summersault if they run fast and sudden stop...the silent spinner wheel is very smooth and very thick/heavy compared to other brand...due to the weight, the wheel generates high inertia, thus make the wheel harder to stop if the hamster suddenly stop running...this will most likely to happens to dwarf hamster cause they are small ang lightweight...
but then norudin... 8" silent wheel ok d...coz they r not that big... i notice when my hammy run n stop...he stop ok jew... like xder pape pn...maybe WW n robo jew kot... coz they r freakin fast...
yup, most probably wil not occur to syrians cause they are big sadly for dwarf, its usually occurs...my WW always sumersault cause using this wheel...my gf has a robo and the robo runs much faster and robo is small/lighter than my WW, so i surely robo will summersault too...

waa u cannot simply add another male adult WW to the family as a subtitute...they will not fit together...they will surely fight...its ok, they can survive without their husband and father...a few months later, the kids will grow to adults...
i just use the alex sand bath yesterday...just now i saw my hamster grooming himself...its a bit strange from the way he alway groom...then i pick him up and check...i saw his right eye is wet..his right side face also wet maybe because of his tears and saliva...i saw there are sands on his face...so i suspect that there are some sands got into his eye...the alex sand bath is too fine...i clean his aquarium, and remove the sand...after i clean his face and body, he recovers as normal...

usually bigger hamster will dominate the others, or male hamster will dominate the others...if sampat is male/bigger than didi, most likely he/she will attact the other hamster...or if didi has some behavior that irritates sampat, sampat may attack didi too...it still ok if they only play fight or just disturbing the other hamster, but make sure u separate them and put them away from each other...but once they are really fight or being bully(results to blood or scars) its nearly impossible they can be friends again...but there is still hope, u can separate them in 1 cage each...put them far from each other, make sure the blood/scar completely heals...make sure they forgot each other smells...then they might be able to be friends again...
regarding to your hamster sleep time...actually u can set what time u want your hamster to wake up...they are usually nocturnal and usually awake around 12am...they awake about 8-10 hours or more...its not recomended to disturb hamsters while they are sleeping...u can wake them up by calling their names...if u wake them up at constant time every day, u can set their sleeping time...
for my adult hamsters, they will awake around 4-5am and sleep at 12-1pm...for babies im not so sure cause i just adopt babies, this is my first exp with hamster babies...my hamster babies are very active(i think all hamster babies are active)..they spent most their time awake(about 14hours awake 8hours sleep)...
Just curious , my little winter gold hamster , she will suddenly squeek by herself as if got ppl disturb her but her cagemate not even near her. Or else if she running at wheel , my winter white pearl hamster come and run opposite direction , she will be angry and squeek like as if she shouting D:. Butt sniffer , chip , strike 3 , and still rejected. He dont harm them though , but when he tries to 'ride' them , they will marah marah and go squeek frenzy on him!
lol same goes to my female Sapphire...she always squeek2 even though the other hamster just want to sleep beside her...she assumes that whenever any hamster is on top of her, she will thinks that the hamster want to attack her...if she squeek like 5seconds(estimate) she will pee a bit..if she peed, she will lick it(euww yucks )
my male Sapphire eats mealworms like eating choki-choki la he will bites off the mealworm heads then will eats everything except the skin...

LOL its ok...at first when i saw my winter gold also thought that they are oil or somthing on their back...but after a few days, i just realised that its only their skin...the back skin of winter gold is dark...their colour is developing...after a week, the dark colour is barely seen...dont worry....theres nothing wrong with your gold...

dont be so harsh to omara...from what he tells us, we know he is serious in and responssible in taking care of his hammies...he has done what he can for now...from time to time we know he will do better for his hammies...we are here to learn...this is also the process of learning...it takes time...give him time...its not like he is trying to kill them by keeping his hammies in "not so big" aquarium...he tries to keep them live happier than before(more than 1 hamster in a cage)...hes doing the best for them...
lets chill... let me show something... these are Hammy babies...this is the first time she give birth...1st and 2nd babies...i just saw she eats 1 baby and i saw another piece of meat outside her house...so i assume she already ate 2 of her babies...total of 4 babies, 2 alive and healthy another 2 have been eaten...the babies are born about 4.20 pm 7/8/2011...
im hoping that she will not eat another baby..she seems fine...resting outside her house...

trust me , i had a gp. very demading little critters. always hungry and will wheek wheek u for food. And very hard to take care. ONLY GUINEA PIG FOOD from selected brands. I gave mine some bengy pellets which says for guinea pig and rabbits , my guinea pig then had intestinal problem and died.. I loved him so much D:

waaaa!!! so scary watching hamster picking up their newborn baby...dalam hati aku "please dont eat it!! please dont eat it!! please dont eat it!!!" so scary ma...so suspen...i cant differenciate whether the mommy want to pick the baby or want to eat it...i have a trauma, i cant see she put her baby in her mouth because i just saw she eats one of the baby alive in front of me....

i dont think they are changing coat...as far as i know, the coat makes them look fluffy...i bought my winter gold while thwy were 1month+...at that time their colour is light gold without stripe...but then their fur looks like getting dirty by something...now, the golden colour become brighter and the stripe become obvious...
sticky?..LOL maybe your male hamster is too naughty... mine not sticky but oily...so i gave them more sands for them to clean...but nothing happen...then i saw my other winter gold experience the same...i realised it is just normal...after few days both getting stripe and the colour become brighter...also both getting fat...LOL i like when my hamster fat but also active!!
Qaqa is so clever...i alway pick her up and put her on my palm whenever i want to give her mealworm...whenever she saw i put my hand into the tank she will climb up to my palm hoping that i will pick her up(i always pick her up if she does that LOL) and reward her mealworm...im impressed that she remembers the way im feeding her...
these are my mineral stones...carrot and banana shapped...all my Winter Whites love mineral stones...they grind their teeth and also eat meneral stone pieces...

i advise u to keep your eye on both of them...there is probability they will fight with each other...separate them if u see any sign of fighting...if lulu becomes too scared to sampat, they might not be able to be friends...
no response is better result than squeeking... dont worry, if lulu is fine when sampat sniffing(i prefer "kissing" hehe) her, its a good sign...thats mean lulu already familiar with sampat and they can live together...
