i think will be fine if you leave lots of foods and water which will last enough for 1week.. But i will say, the best is to ask other people to help you take care of your hamsters while you are not around.. You never know what will happen in 1weeks time.. So just ask your frens or family to feet them in routine and change their water every 2-3days..

we can always learn.. like me, i oso started rare hamters few month ago..

My tank decoration not very expensive thou.. it cost less than Rm50..

What type is your hamster? Yeah only same species can put together, if not they will fight with each other or kill one another..
So i suggest u better take them out asap..

If i not mistaken ur Gold + white is ur Syrian Hamster & ur White + little Grey is Winter white hamsters.. Although they are both different sex, they cant breed together.. Only same species with different sex able to breed together..

If u get same type but different siblings, they will also fight with each other.. Only those born out same siblings background, they will get along one another..

But u can try to introduce them before putting them together.. Here are some steps:

1. Try to place the 1 hamster cage near the another hamster cage for at least 2 weeks to get them used to each others scene.

2. Occasionally, grab some beddings from each cage and place it into the other party's cage. Hamster relies alot on their nose, thus getting them to recognize each other scene is very important and crucial.

3. Sometimes, do introduce them to each other for testing purpose. This can be done by placing the 1 hamster outside the another hamster's cage. ( do this step only after 2 weeks later from the 1st day step 1 started )

4. After repeating step 3 for a week, you can try to place them together at a neutral place which has no comment scene or items. A good example is a large empty paper box. If they fight with each other immediately after you placed them together, then you should reconsider the decision to mate them. Else you can give it another last try like 2 weeks later to re-introduce them again.

5. If they still fight with each other badly on the next meet after 2 weeks, it's really not advisable to mate them as they couldn't even get along well together.

6. On the other hand, if everything turn out to be smooth on the 1st meet, then try to repeat step 4 for one week.

7. If they can get along well enough after 1 week, then try to place them in a same cage which is clean. Clean the cage with bleach and water (ratio 1:30) and soak it for at least 20minutes. Not for too long as bleach is strong acid.

8. Lastly, observe them closely for the first few days together in the same cage and separate them if any fight/injury occurs.

lastly, if they fight, u must separate them with cardboard..

I duno why my hamster both of them are fighting.. They both are call Mickey & Mouse.. Mickey is brown and Mouse is white..They both are Winter White hamsters and use to stay in the same cage.. But now Mouse look vry scared and keep on squeaking whenever i put Mickey together.. They keep fighting and bite each other.. I duno is this the reason?

B4 christmas, i was working.. so i cant accompany my gf den i suggest to borrow 1 of my hamster to her for 2days.. Is Mickey.. B4 i pass it to her, i changed new bedding and put lots of water and foods for him these 2days..

My gf den change the bedding again using hers Living Worlds Pine Wood shaving bedding (im using Chipsi Classic).. when she was having it for 2days cause she say vry smelly.. I guess nothing wrong rite?

I observed Mouse this past 2days, he seem vry lonely and nvr moves much.. I guess he misses Mickey..

So yesterday i went back to take Mickey from my gf, den i put together again and they started fighting.. Mickey keep on chasing Mouse and Mouse keep on squeak.. I try changing the bedding and put them together back, end up still the same.. What happen to them?

Feel so sad right now.. They last time use to be best friends, but now keep fighting with one another.. Anyone can help me with this?

Yeah.. Now im doing the reintroduction process.. separate them already, but i feel so sad cuz they are so happy together at 1st, and now they both keep on fighting.. I try putting them together today for few minutes and they keep on fighting.. I can see Mouse is the one doing the squeaking sound becuz i tink he dont recognize Mickey already, wherelse Mickey is still ok trying to play with Mouse but whenever Mickey goes near to Mouse, he will squeak and frighten Mickey away..



Your Milo is good.. I finally able to put them with my 2 winter white female hamsters.. I just introduce 1day with them and they get along real fast.. I duno why.. I was darmm happy

Now i put them in 1 cage and they keep on playing with each other and i nvr see them fight.. They even sleep together sometimes, hopefully they can breed

Lol.. That is a Syrian Hamster.. I think is not a good idea to put 2 different type of hamster together.. They will fight with each other..

About the cage, I duno whether isit suitable for Syrian to play with Tubes.. I nvr had Syrian..

I bought this cage cause my pair hamster cant put together anymore due to separate for few days and they cant recognize one another.. End up the fight and now i have to buy an extra cage for one of them..

Do u know that u cant just get a hamster and put them together with another hamster.. They will tend to fight with 1 another because they are completely stranger to each other.. U can do some introduction process by putting them in different cage and let them scene their smells and after that exchange bedding and etc...

If u wan buy in pair, is best to buy them with same sibling.. I have 2 Roborovski hamsters & 4 Winter White hamsters..

2 winter white hamster was same siblings together and they stay at the same cage.. After that i lend to my gf Mickey for 2days only cause she wana play with it.. After when i brought back Mickey and put them together, they tend to fight.. and i asked forumers here, they say that my hamsters already forgot each other scene of smell and that why they get scared.. Tried intro back together but failed.. So meanwhile i put Mickey at a small container cause i no cage for him..

Now bought a new cage, he is living inside..

i not sure.. they are sibling, but since u bring back Buttercup for so long, i scared the sibling will forget the smell of your Buttercup..

Yeah.. is too small, i wana buy the extension but i scared cant fit.. Actually i tot all normal size? Because i got some extension cant fit together with my Habitrial Cage.. So i just put inside the cage and let the hammies play..

No wheel, cant fit inside.. Taking him out everyday to play wit him.. Another hamster cage also no wheel.. trying to find a 2nd hand wheel which able to attach to the cage.. So far havent see any
