QUOTE(darkknight81 @ Aug 25 2009, 05:02 PM) Can i still opening account for ASM1? Since the fund size is big may be considering it as a temporaly place to park my dividend from stock market.... Yes you can. I think there are still a lot of AS1M left, even the non-bumi portion. I asked the lady at the Maybank counter but she said there's no way they can check to see how much is left. However, if I'm not mistaken, there will be a service charge for any transaction after the promotion period (of 30-days)? |

I haven't been following AS1M recently. Just wanna know whether there are any charges for any transaction at the moment (i.e. buying or selling).
Since AS1M for non-bumi is still availabe, was thinking of whether to buy some more of AS1M a few months before the interest is declared and wait and see how much the interest is. If interest damn good, will keep the money there. If no good, take out for other investments..... |

QUOTE(Libra @ Mar 2 2010, 12:22 AM) Be careful not to wait too long or else you have to wait forever. As of 24/2/2010 from the horse's mouth PNB President moentioned some 89% of the non-bumi/chinese' portion has already been sold. So more or less 10% left. Since it's a fixed price unit, I would first take up now and wait after the dividend declared to sort out the mess later. I think it cannot be less than the banker's FD rate. may be not as good a return as buying stocks. But mind you our KLSE is now almost if not already peaked this time round, we may be on the other side of the hill on a one-slippery-road-downhill. who knows! Cool. Hope they don't implement the handling charges ever!!!About this charges thing. as of last week, I have bought inot some more units and there was no handling charges yet. My bullets will only come end of this month..... hope the This post has been edited by kmarc: Mar 2 2010, 11:10 AM |

QUOTE(soul2soul @ Apr 30 2010, 03:47 PM) AS1M finished already. So sad to hear that! 3pm 30/4/10 , confirmed by another relative also. Now where am I going to put my savings now that AS1M is finished? Should I look at maybank's etiqa or Public Mutual, or keep in FD? Was actually thinking of topping up some more when I get more funds....... QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Apr 30 2010, 09:36 PM) Last Year in March ASM that did not sell, open for all races what. i was able to buy RM20K, the max amount allowed per head I do hope they open up to all races before the dividend is announced. Have to grab some more before the good news! |

QUOTE(joeaverage @ Jul 30 2010, 08:02 AM) i reckon the posts would get more interesting after AS1M makes its first dividend announcement come end of Sept.. Quite disappointed that the quota was not opened up. Still presence a quota in AS1M (like everything else)...... maybe they'll do away with it in AS2M.........a lot were expecting the non-chi quota to be opened up.. perhaps gov would do so after announcing a higher than expected dividend to get more ppl to purchase |

QUOTE(Kinitos @ Aug 1 2010, 10:49 AM) Before i invest money in this fund $15,000 can buy 10,000 kilo of sugar. Atfer waiting for 1 long year togather with VERY HIGH interest rate of 5%, $15000 + $750, i can only buy 9,000 kilo of sugar. OR i buy the wrong kind of things? I thought that is called inflation...... |

QUOTE The calculation of income distribution this year will be based on the average monthly minimum balance held throughout the financial year beginning 5 August 2009 until 30 September 2010. I'm confused on how the dividend is calculated. Say I bought 10k in Jan, 10k in Feb and 10k in July 2010. How to calculate the dividend? |

QUOTE(MGM @ Oct 6 2010, 02:05 PM) If u bought on 1st day of the month eg. 1/1/10 (9-month investment) u get dividend of I see. Thx for the info. The 6.38% is so misleading!!! Now I know...... RM10000*6.38*9/13.87 = RM413.99 If u bought on 2nd day to last day of the month eg. 2/1/10 (8-month investment) u get dividend of RM10000*6.38*8/13.87 = RM367.99 It is best to buy or sell on the 1st day of the month and never close your account (leave some amount) as you are entitled to any dividend (on prorata basis) on the next financial closing for funds redeemed. However if u close the account u wont get this dividend. |

QUOTE(mikecrush @ Oct 21 2010, 04:53 PM) for year 2010 , I'm satisfied with the AS1M dividend yield, as 6.38% is the slightly better than ASM and ASW2020, 6.30% and 6.35% respectively. Don't forget the 6.38 per unit is over 14 months. Somebody already calculated the dividend to be around 5.5% only.........which ones did you join cheahcw2003 ? |

Yay! Managed to top up my AS1M. Not much though, only RM 1,000.
When the lady at the counter checked, there were no units available. After updating my passbook, suddenly 1,000 available. She quickly bought for me. |

QUOTE(celinek @ Apr 28 2011, 03:15 AM) Sorry to say this but please don't still live in your dream world. We will probably achieve the "no difference" status with 10malaysia. Note the word "probably". Aside from waiting like hungry dogs to buy AS1M or ASW2020, I still feel stupid because I have to go to the bank on & off to "try" to buy any available units left. The bank officer will ask how much you want, then try to key in. Rm5000 cannot, rm4000 cannot, rm2000, cannot, rm 500 successful! Hurray! This post has been edited by kmarc: Apr 29 2011, 07:57 AM |

QUOTE(georgechang79 @ Apr 29 2011, 10:41 AM) Wow, can still buy. Everytime i go RHB the cashier tell me sudah habis. Go CIMB also same. Which bank u go to can share? I only have AS1M. Didn't manage to grab others. I go to maybank to try. It is usually 'sudah habis' but very rarely can get some units. Available units are usually because somebody sold theirs but from what I heard, bank staff usually snap them up first! This post has been edited by kmarc: Apr 29 2011, 10:55 AM |
