QUOTE(davinz18 @ Aug 7 2009, 03:43 PM) I DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT PNB UNIT TRUST.... IT IS AMONG BEST MANAGED FUND IF NOT THE BEST IN MALAYSIA... Who you state that it's not recommended to old ppl, housewives, etc?WHO WILL GIVE YOU AVERAGE 6 - 10% DIVIDEND RATE (NON BUMI LAR, ASB FOR BUMI ONLY!) EVEN IN THE BAD ECONOMY TIME. PNB CAN PAY AROUND 9 - 12 % EVERY YEAR BUT INSTEAD PAY 6 - 8 % AND KEEP THE REST AS RESERVED FOR BAD YEAR. IF I IN THIS POSITION, I WILL USED UP ALL THE MONEY IN THE GOOD YEAR FOR MY ENJOYMENT...HEHEHEH ANOTHER STORY, SOME OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE LOST THEIR MONEY IN THE "BANK BACKED - UNIT TRUST FUND". THEY ARE VERY ANGRY. BUT HOW TO COMPLAINED, THEY HAVE SIGN THE AGREEMENT & STUCK WITH IT. LUCKILY I DIDN'T JOIN THE UNIT TRUST. SO THE CONCLUSION IS TRY TO SEE FIRST THE UNIT TRUST FUND. YOU CAN SEE THEIR PROSPECTUS AT THE WEBSITE. READ THE FIND PRINT. DON'T LISTEN TO PEOPLE. THINK YOURSELF. YOUR MONEY YOUR DECISION. IF YOU A RISK TAKER, JUST INVEST AROUND RM100 (MIN) - RM1000 (MAX) FIRST AND SEE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE AS1M FUND (NOT RECOMMENDED TO OLD PEOPLE / WARGA EMAS / PENSIONERS / HOUSEWIVES ETC.) HAPPY INVESTING PEOPLE... THANK YOU. |

I don't think there will be long queue.
Lots of people doing ASB transaction (blue book) but no one buying AS1M when I go to the post office on friday. |

QUOTE(constant @ Oct 8 2009, 08:32 PM) Not quite sure on how PNB calculate dividends for all their funds. Lets say you invest in ASM. Annual dividends only declared once right? Assume it is on March every year. So, does that mean that if you sold off all your investments before March, you get nothing? If you invest in any of the months prior to March, you can actually get prorated dividends, I believe. BUT what about disposal before March? Lets say I invest in April last year and dispose everything on December last year...any dividends for me? As long as you have RMxxx for the full entire month, you will get the dividends. It doesn't matter if you withdraw before the dividend is declared. |

QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Dec 28 2009, 05:36 PM) PNB Extends Subscription Period For AS1M (for the 3rd time) Seems like the fund is not selling or not getting good respond from the people.KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 (Bernama) -- Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) says it will extend the period for subscribing the Amanah Saham 1Malaysia (AS1M) share trust units to a later date from the current Dec 31, 2009 deadline. PNB Group Chief Executive and President, Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman, said the extension, given according to the community allocation, will be third after the Sept 30, and Dec 31, 2009 deadlines. In a statement on Thursday, he said the decision was taken in order to give all the communities the opportunity and more time to buy the share trust units. Todate, a total of 3.06 billion units of the AS1M have been subscribed by 235,288 investors. So far, 85 per cent of the quota given to the Chinese community has been subscribed, while another 21 per cent of the quota for Indian investors have been bought. -- BERNAMA Come on....just announce a better dividend payout than ASB and everyone will invest here already. |

QUOTE(Libra @ Apr 13 2010, 11:48 PM) Cannot blame them. As the Chinese quota is running out fast. The urgency is obviously there. Sooner or later the allocation will be open for all. When there were some 80% of the chinese quotas available, everyone poured cold water over the issue. Now that the Quota is drying up everyone seems to be rushing for it. Bet it will be over very soon. Another thing, everyone seems to be very confident that when the quota for Chinese has been sold PNB will open up the Bumis for all to buy. I don't know where they got this idea from. Tried searching high and low cannot find the source. Bet they won't open up for all like Wawasan2020 or ASM. I hope I am wrong. Just loved of they adopt the Free-for-all funds. The bumiputera quota will never be finished up. |

QUOTE(OMG! @ Mar 20 2011, 01:32 PM) Well i have a doubt here. Lol...you should have ask them to check the system first before withdrawing your money. last few week ago, i went to the post office and wanted to invest 6k units in 1 Msia AS. when i approached the counter, the staffs told me to fill in the form and hv to bring in a large sum of cash( 6k) in order to invest. By the time i withdrew 6k from my bank account with the form attached, the staffs check into the system. Out of my surprise, they told us that there are currently no unit left for chinese( there is quota for different races),so i went home disappointed with the 6k cash in my hand. Look, The way the system going is really cumbersome. I wonder whether can they seriously consider to change the system to better improve on the delivery quality. Yeah, AS1M for chinese already sold out. I wander why it's name as AS1M when they still allocate it via racial quota. |
