QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Aug 11 2011, 09:47 AM) dont just generalise those bumi that u know around u. Asb has 200k max limit. Those middle class / rich Malay that hv extra funds still need to hv other fixed priced funds like asw. FYI, Asw2020 ( bumi portion), and Asd ( which solely for bumi) are always full as well, those bumi that want to top up need to "trial and error" over the counter as well. Interesting information There was a case where a retired deputy head police in Muar Johor passed away 2 years ago without wasiat, the brother and son fight in the court thus his networth being revealed, guess what, this late police has 300k balance in ASB, rm5mil in Asw2020, and rm6mil in Asd, and he was just a govt servant. So don't just generalised, not everyone will tell u how much they have with asnb, |

QUOTE(monsta2011 @ Aug 16 2011, 03:36 AM) AS1M allocation: the quota imposed is some kind of discrimination, maybe there are reason behind it (who knows). I think the quota is to give the people an opportunity to invest. Remember few years back when PNB open asw 2020 & asm for sale?? it sold out within 20 min after open for subscription/sale....... I'm one of those people who are not able to subscribe it 50% Malay, 30% Chinese, 15% Indian and 5% Others Wow a fund that has racial quota written on it and PNB calls that 'One Malaysia' |

- BERNAMA |

QUOTE(Hansel @ Sep 23 2011, 03:30 PM) Guys,.. remember the word, there is always a bubble in everything. Diversification as some people always tell me. Don't put all your eggs in one basket others tell me. All are the same meaning Look at the events around us, spread out your assets. Not everything in PNB. |

QUOTE(solemn_86 @ Nov 23 2011, 04:21 PM) Standard statement ever year for most asnb funds.... another statement is "6% is higher compare with other fixed investment instrument which give only 3 - 4% interest per year". ASNB Board of directors, please find another statement and not the standard one I hear every year for the past 5 - 8 years..... |

ASNB Unit trust fund are mostly for those in the long term maybe around 8 - 12 years period. If you all look at the Fixed-price historical dividend rate for most fund (open to all malaysian, exluding ASB), the dividend rate is always above 6%/sen every year. For ASW2020 The highest is 10.10%/sen in 1997 & lowest is 6.30%/sen in 2009. For ASM the highest is 6.8%/sen in 2008 and lowest is 6.25%/sen in 2009. So those who invest in long term can see their money growing bigger. Wanna faster way, can invest directly in bursa malaysia with the yearly dividend average 7% for dividend oriented listed company. (hint: mostly sin stocks)
For more info on historical dividend rate can see at http://1-million-dollar-blog.com/dividends/ |

QUOTE(Julie28 @ Nov 29 2011, 05:10 PM) I'm not comparing la..I'm just replying to those persons who were asking & 'complaining' where do all the surplus go after they pay dividend to ASB investor because ASB never announce lost. So I said, ASB have stated clearly what to expect if we invest with them. It's our choice to invest with them or not. So we cannot complain. There's no way we can get guaranteed profit esp. at very high dividend with zero risk. In my opinion, better keep the money in ASB, don't withdraw it if you really need it. ASB dividend is really good and even get bonus if keep more than 10 years. just my opinion, it's all depend on individual. Bumi or not now not really an advantage I think. Since there's fatwa that said ASB is non-halal due to high percentage of investment in conventional bank. So I'm now in the process of withdrawing my money from ASB now. Added on November 29, 2011, 5:15 pm i think they freeze our account on 20/12. if they accept your 2k for this year, the dividend for 2k in account for 1 month is around RM12...... |
