Price of Maxis will be range-bound at RM5.2 - RM5.5. Will see greater volatility once the 6 month moratorium is lifted. Safer bet to go in when Maxis go below RM5.

Only when 2012 is the end of the world. Won't see that happening since Maxis is a component stock of KLCI and the fair valuation of Maxis price is @ 5.10- RM 6.30

No intention to give retail investors the jitters with the "2012" phenomenon. But look at the scenario when 97% of Maxis shares allocated to institutional investors come into the market. At which stage the price tanks below RM5 is anybody's guess.

It's hard for retail investors not to include Maxis in their portfolio with the 75% dividend policy and whats more its a component stock in KLCI. If you do follow Maxis IPO tightly, alot of selected retail investors were upset with the little allocation of shares by Maxis.

Bear in mind that, only 25% of Maxis shares is offered to the public as IPO. The remaiining is still being hold by
Binariang SM.

Unless those investors mass dump the shares in bulk at a cheap price. And even if it so, Maxis will buy back it own shares to be kept as treasury shares. Sorry, will not see Maxis plunged below RM 5 unless Maxis was stripped off its mobile operating license. Maxis share is stable and will float about 5.2x- 5.4x for the next few weeks while waiting to break the 5.5x resistance. It's targeted to reached RM 6.xx before Chinese New year. This is a speculation..

still can get it now 5.40 mah, still worth it since will pay dividend soon

Yes, can try Q-buy at 5.38. Bear in mind the 6sen is just interim dividend. I'm expecting more for the final dividend, since people sms/call more during the festive month of December, it's wise to speculate that the final quarter of Maxis profit will be higher. Expecting a double digit dividend for the final dividend. drool.gif drool.gif

Hi there, i am new here. I am still waiting for my maxis 45 sen refund also. Don't know why so slow. How much dividend will maxis pay in a year? Any advise? I am holding quite a bit of maxis shares. Thank you,
*
You should be able to get yours because most of them received by last friday. I suggest you to call up MIH if the cheque of CIMB is still not return by tmr.

They just announced 6sen a share to be paid out on mid January. Maxis promised to pay out 75% of its earnings as dividend to its shareholders. So say EPS of a Maxis share is 40sen, they promised to pay 30sen(75% *40sen) as dividend annualy. Subject to the revenue. Remain to be see, it is either we get the dividend quarterly or semi anually.

andrew, i realise you are really experience. I also buy ytlpower, maxis, public bank and some reit shares as well. Still consider whether should buy bjtoto or not? Heard VT is really a cunning guy. What do you think? Which counter should i buy more for long term dividend purpose? Thank you in advance smile.gif

I'm just sharing based on what I know.I got more to learn and still learning smile.gif btw, from what u mentioned above, you did have a good portfolio in diversified industries. Since you buying long term for dividend purpose, maybe you can look into the business model of Maybulk (shipping industry), SPsetia(property developer). It really depends on what type of risk appetite you have. Some people might love Gamuda or SPsetia but I wouldn't as I prefer a business model that is based on a recurring ongoing basis rather than contract basis.

Digi and TM is a good buy too with high dividend yield. Other factors you might want to consider includes who is the team management of the company. The aggresiveness of the company, gearing, SWOT, PESTEL, nature of busines analysis before buying in for long term. Happy studying smile.gif

Oh yea,I would recommend TM, Digi and Maybulk at the moment for dividend play.TM is the best choice. But again do study on yourself alittle bit. Market is volatile and I can't guarantee anything smile.gif
