1st of all,how you connect your ps3 to any tv the 1st time you get it.using composit cable that came with the ps3 or straight use hdmi.

ps3 will save any display setting that has been chosen previously.to troubleshoot those setting you need to hold the on/off button for few sec to hear 2-3 beep to make it reboot.

if after reboot still doesnt display anything on tv then can consider you are using a faulty hdmi cable or anything else.
