Hi guys,

i found two washed out, slightly pinkish pixels on my screen yesterday nite. it's not noticeable but was wondering if it would lead to something more serious?

and there is also one bright red blinking flashing pixel which was there yesterday night after a few hours of movies and it's gone this morning ..

hmmmm .. is that normal?
*
Is it under iniitial panel hour? Better be careful.
I had once returned my s10 plasma for warranty due to one pink pixel 2 days after purchase.

How much is the 63in sammy plasma RRP?
*
IIRC it's retailed @ RM18,999. Best Denki did make an offer once in KLCC Convention Center for RM13,999.
The PQ of 63" is not as good as the 50" B650.

Anfield, btw how much is your new 60" Kuro?? If it's not convenient to tell here, please pm me. Thanks

No complaints as yet.

It has only run for about 16hrs or so. It has a web interface that allows u to check the hrs using a computer in the same network.

It is breaking in pretty well. The sharpness is becoming better. The pixel noise is also improving.  The one thing is the "Pure" Mode with Colour space 2 gets the colours pretty accurate out of the box.

In my opinion, the Kuros take about 100hrs or so to settle down. Then they shine.

HD using Astro b.yond looks great.

I will calibrate it once at 50hrs then again at 200hrs. Shd be good to go by then.

Done some viewing for BD and it looks phenomenal. The black levels definately are better than my 8G Kuro and its still new. The black levels will improve with time as well on this set.

SD also looks good.

It already looks small to me now. So the next upgrade will have to be a projector >100in screen! Maybe in a couple of years.

Bro, the firmware any differences? How is the IR, still see it?
*
The firmware upgrade. Colour seems better.
IR is inherent characteristic from panel.

QUOTE(chewkl @ Jan 16 2010, 08:33 PM)
Whoops correction, it is 63PSB680, not B650.

Dunno why but I dun see the purplish AR filter on this B680 but on the 50B650 it is very noticeable.
*
The purplish AR filter on 50B650 is very good. Difference is quite obvious in bright room.

I was looking at PS63B680 and TH-P65V10LK side by side. 65V10 picture seems more natural and pleasant to eyes.

Elite Chew. Nope i can't. I got 'new member' coming. I can't drill hole on walls at home to mount wall bracket.
But it's value for money for 63" 16999 less 3.5k for the htib...should be 13k...ish...around the price in US lor

I am too peasant for this PS63B680 sweat.gif 50" plasma was just side by side and it looked damn tiny with the Panny 65" and Sammy 63"... sweat.gif

Anyways, I dunno but the IQ on the 50" B650 looked better than the 63" B680 side by side...
*
As you said it's AR filter that makes the difference.

Seems like the 63" selling well as they are stocking it for display.
Compared to 65" V10 that is priced at 39999. Sammy 63" is very much value for money.
Sammy PQ looks a bit artifitial compared to V10.
Would Ms Chua carry this 63" as well?

IR for my panel has improved termendously!
been using my tv for bout 2 months now (i think)

it is hooked to my htpc and my contrast is rather high too. Setting is more or less the same as RonaldJoe gave me. Good setting! smile.gif Just some little adjustments to suit my quirky taste.

not much IR. smile.gif even if there is, it's easily removed.

just thought of sharing smile.gif
*
bro, which setting are you using now?
I am using hudaman's recommended setting.
I set it both to 24hz and 60hz 1080p input.

Bro, you can go to samsung site there is a guide...
http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/detail/...M&menu=download
It's pretty easy, pen drive got to be in FAT32.

I am not very sure but colour seems better.

Ronald bro,

i'm using the hudaman setting as well, just with some minor adjustment on the contrast, color, hdmi output, and some other minor settings which i dont remember. smile.gif

i've updated my tv long ago, coz i cant seem to play big mkv files over LAN and after the update it worked. and the tv works with NTFS as well!

i've watched dramas with the static log for hours, and even that the logo is not noticeable. even if it's visible it can be easily cleared off with the built in tool.

ar188,
yar man, mcD @ center point all using pioneer panels! dem envy. heh..

This is cool man! I didn't try playing anymedia on the tv as yet.

Hi,

Can someone tell me why is my plasma tv has this stripes from bottom to the top (fine black lines) about 3 inch in width?

Sometimes this stripes will go off but nowdays we cant get rid of it. How to fix this other than changing the whole display from samsung again!

Thanks.
*
Is it connection problem? No one else has this issue.
It's time to return your tv for another set.

Bought this 2 years ago. Cant afford to change. Connection problem like power cable? Did try unplug and plug but didnt go away. Could it be low or high power supply to my home?
*
Do you use any power filter for this? Never heard of these black lines things so far.
Follow anfield sifu advice, may be you could solve the problem.
