OMG so skinny man...As a newbie i also can see the suggie is not healthy...some more mature and got baby adi but still so kecik..stunted...so many ppl ill treat suggies..they think of it as fast money..haiz..look at the tail...not fluffy at all
@yaniena Shouldn't support breeders who says feed apples oni...Don't support all these ppl la..you're encourage them to sell more poor gliders.. Added on August 7, 2009, 3:18 pm@farid87 if sleep in the morning then it's normal la..coz it's a nocturnal animal not diurnal This post has been edited by yueyi5730: Aug 7 2009, 03:18 PM |

come to think of it..singpore is known for it's KIA SU attitude...if exotic animals are allowed..1 person get the others also will want to have them...and most ppl in singapore busy with their work and eventually abandon their pets..because of their high standard of living...they may not be able to support suggies after some time...or other exotic pets and eventually release them..if malaysia got no suitable place for them what more singapore...not talking bad about singaporeans no offence...but just a possible thing to happen

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Aug 7 2009, 06:27 PM) Most importantly they wanna jaga their country from losing the natural flora and fauna. Now take Australia.... you know it is illegal to keep hamsters in Australia? Its to protect the wild small animals from fighting for food with hamsters if they were released into the wild. |

yea too far..dunno how are they going to survive..my parcel to canada also takes 10 days to reach my friend on air plane..imagine who is going to care for the gliders if they are from australia...
we humans these days started taking wild animals as pets...but i must say..last times cows and chickens were wild too buy human domesticated them..so in a way it's a human's nature to do so This post has been edited by yueyi5730: Aug 8 2009, 12:01 AM |

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Aug 8 2009, 10:42 AM) I read that the most common sub species are the sugar glider and the biak glider. They both look the same, just colour and size a bit different. So now I am wondering, those wild gliders that we see may not be normal sugar gliders, they could be biak gliders. And could they mix breed? Hmm...I don't know izit because we keep it in captivity tat's why it's smaller in size.Like dogs originates from wolf and the average size for dogs are deffinately smaller than wolves.what about the comparison between wild sugar gliders and biak gliders..like u said may not be sugar gliders..but the babies are exactly like sugar gliders. In the US, all have sugar gliders and very few came across biaks. That's why rarely got photo of Biaks on the internet. Maybe we should go to Indonesia and have a look hahaha.... but the colours could be stains from their poo and pee or even trees and rocks..like swallow bird nest some has red or brownish colour instead of clear white colour and is due to the lime stone rocks where they make their nest... anyone know where to get sugar glider documentary? QUOTE(cottonkandy @ Aug 8 2009, 11:31 AM) QUOTE(loritanah @ Aug 8 2009, 11:35 AM) but what if the nature of surrounding itself made those glider to adapt such color when they are mature enough? but you see..this owner i look through his account..the parents of the zoes are both brownish..and the babies are normal colour..mayb like u said adapt to the environment.. |

QUOTE(malowie @ Aug 8 2009, 12:46 PM) yup... cuz if hamsters escape from captivity they will live in the wild and disrupt the existing cycle of ecosystem... that is a high possibility coz if there so many unwanted gliders like how the flower horn fishes now which are released into rivers.remember how flower horns used to be priced?some even reach to 1000+.and they are now dump into rivers..hopefully no such pandemic is going to happenbut imagine if gliders escaped and went into our forests... and survive. then we can see wild gliders in malaysia lol... @loritanah
but u see many "suppliers" are already doing that..some even selling as low as RM200 each.As you can see in some of our forumers blogs..they are breed in small cages and all in bad conditions..some even producing 20+ over babies in a week..every week got new babies..so imagine how many they have...they cant possibly tend to so many suggies and care for them at once This post has been edited by yueyi5730: Aug 8 2009, 01:11 PM |
