currently ps hardware warranty/registration website is separate from psn id

they want to migrate so all will be using psn id even for hardware

Regarding to your enquiry, please be informed that this will only affect the warranty membership account. This will not affect the Playstation Network account. Therefore you do not need to be worried of losing the games you have purchased online.

they upgrading the membership on the warranty only but y they talk about psn...? hmm.gif

watever la at least i extended my warranty for free and i dont have to pay for the membership or psn account laugh.gif

nobody says anything when the official ps forum (both us psu & eu message board) migrated all user accounts into psn id last year. when sony asia is migrating into psn id for managing warranty/product registration, suddenly it is serious business.

In my eyes, PSN is about nearly equal to PSN, service wise that is. Sure XBL is still quite a bit more robust but when it comes to content, I do think PSN has the upper hand here.

Especially this year, what does XBLA has to offer? They had Braid last year and that was awesome. This year, practically nothing. But yet the PSN has a slew of PSN downloadables this year and theres still more coming.
