Was in spain for both classicos this season, (in barca for the home game, ibiza last weekend) so happy... But not in the stadium itself sad.gif ticks are too bloody expensive.. But the atmosphere in both the bars i was in were really awesome..Even when our datuk playing in badminton finals, our mamaks' atmosphere will never even come close..

Btw, verx was right, gaspart days were really gloomy.. And he was right to say that we should savour the moment coz nothing lasts forever.. History proves that well enough, real/barca just keeps coming back, just matter of sooner or later.. Well, even when they do edge us out eventually, we should be rest assured we could post a similar comeback thereafter, i guess tongue.gif
I just hope the current crop lasts a bit longer, (justapoxed to ronnie and co) andhauls a few more titles.. Thats all i hope..
VISCA EL BARCA~~

just want to know.. how much the ticket compared to malaysian ringgit?

*
For el classico, if bought early about 150-200 euros.. If bought 1/2 days before matchday, the hotel receptionist told me its worth 1000euros..

*
Its the landmark in barcelona, most visited architecture..
Sadly no, i've only been to barcelona twice and ibiza island for some hot sun..
Feel like going to mallorca, valencia and madrid too.. Of cause the basque region sounds good but no flights from my nearest airport.. sad.gif

QUOTE(matyrze @ Apr 26 2010, 10:14 AM)
Mr. Ramzi wrote an article here, about Pep's mistakes in Inter match. I have to say this is the only review that has visual evidences to back up his views, and I have to say it has the most depth in the net. He commented on nearly every criticism that popped out in the net, including the ones Zonal Marking blog wrote. About Toure - Busi argument, about Alves' 'fault' for Sneijder's goal, about Ibra being such a waste of space.

The only problem is that article is very lengthy, so read only if you care, take only the important points, and reflect on his opinion. You will find out that our problem is not because of any individual. It is just because every styles/tactics have their own weaknesses. Barca's system do have such weaknesses, but I think Pep has really done well to limit its effect. Look at how efficient our defense has been this season.

So we can expect the same system and line-up as usual will appear at the start of the 2nd leg. Busi will start instead of Toure.

Having somebody to depict our frailties, bit by bit, almost brought me to tears..
Very good read.. smile.gif

You've read it? Its a good read indeed.

The problem is, not many people are bothered enough to take the time and read it. So many people think managing a football team is just like playing jigsaw puzzle. They think, when we have a good piece of puzzle, we can try fitting it into our puzzle, and if that piece fits, then it surely is good. In reality, its not, as maybe the whole picture may not be as perfect as it possibly can be.

All they do is criticize, criticize and criticize, and praying to God so that Pep 'opens up his eyes', and realize his 'mistakes'. LOL, they are talking about the same mind that used to be the mastermind of Johan Cruyff's Dream Team.
*
But it hink if we play 2 DMs it has got to affect our offesnve end, won't it? Ibra blocking messi? Good thought..

Well, good game by Inter and the special one.. They are a good defensive unit. I hope bayern beat them tho, not because i'm a sore loser, i just fancy bayern more..
Sigh, winning in Bernebeu no more....Sad day in barcelona.

To the comment above saying we have a good team but a bad manager, i am appalled.. BAD MANAGER does not win 6 titles in a year.. Tell me which other manager did that?? idiot trolls..

I hope ibra bucks up next season... And plz bring back keirison so we have sth to fall back on, in case.. Reflecting on this season, at least we got a really promising kid in jeffren, and maxwell was a good buy. Ibra and chygy, not so much.. Lets hope we steamroll villareal and win the la liga.. And hopefully pep chooses his transfers carefully come summer..

No matter what, Visca el Barca..

On another note, two master tacticians in the final.. Hope it'd be a good clean game with no controversy.. May the best team win.

am here to rant about Ibra flop.

he made us lost two cups already. Did u all see his shite performance at sevilla in the copa del rey and against Inter?

Pep signed him so that he could make a difference in tight matches like the Inter match but he failed and Pep benched hiim the very next match vs Villareal..... and Barca won convincingly.

Did you all notice everytime Ibra did not play, Barca played better and scored at least 3 goals and lead comfortably. When he played, the scoreline always tight and the team becomes nervous.

I think Pep finally given up on him and yessssssss he will not be wearing the blaugrana next season.  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

U cant put all the blame of losing those games on him only.. We played collectively poor in both 1st legs..
I say we give him another half a season before writing him off..
I really don't think we need villa as long as we bring back keirison, but mata/silva would be a good buy..

Good Read from soccernet...

QUOTE
Valdes ready to take Spain chance
By Didac Peyret
(Archive)

Why would any child decide to be a goalkeeper? There seems to be little attraction of being alone in the goal, with the ball being fired at you as ferociously as the criticism that comes with every mistake.

The child between the posts looks on at his ten other team-mates having a good time, running around the pitch and while, of course, there may be the small chance of becoming a hero - it's perhaps just one in a hundred. In the same way, you have 99 chances to become the villain.

These ideas have been in the head of Barcelona's Victor Valdes for as long as he can remember - his is the story of a goalkeeper who never wanted to be a goalkeeper; about a child who suffered all week thinking about the game ahead.

"From age eight to 18, I played as a goalkeeper every weekend, but I was suffering because it was something that I didn't like to do. It was something that I didn't understand. I used to say to myself 'Why am I doing something that I don't like?" Valdes told the Informe Robinson show on Canal+. "It was a nightmare, I would panic that I'd fail. I dreaded the match of the weekend. I used to daydream that I could become a normal player." Valdes nearly quit football on three separate occasions: "Without my father and my brother I would have left the game,'' he added. ''They were the reason I kept going. They persisted so much and gave me the advice to carry on.

"At 18 I told them: 'I don't want to play anymore, it's the end. You're happy but I'm not. Where is the sense of doing something that just causes suffering?' Now I can say that I have an incredible life because I didn't give up. I know for sure that I would be devastated if I missed the opportunity to be as privileged as I am."

But when did Valdes turn the situation around? When did he start to enjoy his profession?

"I went to the therapy," Valdes said. "It was something that really helped me in those days. This therapy changed my point of view of being a goalkeeper and of the world of football. Also the thought of letting my family down gave me the motivation to keep going."

Now, at 28 years old, he's playing his best football and, according to his recent quotes on BarcaTV, it seems that coach Pep Guardiola has been crucial in his progress: "Pep is the secret to everything we're achieving; he got that I enjoy myself playing football," he said.

Solid in between the posts, consistent with his feet and brilliant in one-on-one situations, Valdes has a particularly important role for Barcelona in starting their numerous attacking moves. But even though he has been playing regularly for his club (contributing directly to all six of the titles they won in 2009) he has yet to make his bow with the national team.

Spain manager Del Bosque recognised few weeks ago that he has a chance, saying: "Victor deserves the possibility of playing for Spain," while a member of the Spanish Federation of Soccer was quoted in Spanish magazine Don Balon claiming that "Del Bosque is clever and knows that if Valdes continues in this fit, it could not justify his absence on the list."

As the most successful goalkeeper in Barcelona's history, having won three La Liga titles, two Champions Leagues and one Copa del Rey, it could be his off-pitch actions that keep him out of the national team. In his first season with Barcelona he refused to play for the 'B' team, getting upset with then-coach Louis Van Gaal, and his fiery personality could be what is stopping him getting his chance.

Spain are blessed with tremendous goalkeepers as Luis Aragones and currently Vincente Del Bosque have always stuck by Real Madrid's Iker Casillas (arguably the best in the world) as first choice, and used the likes of Pepe Reina (Liverpool), Andres Palop (Sevilla) or Diego Lopez (Villarreal) as backups in order to keep the chemistry of the dressing room.

Still, it seems that Valdes will finally get his chance to be a part of the national team. Undervalued for a player at one of the world's top clubs and often criticised by the Barcelona fans, Valdes has silenced them this season and is now waiting for Spain's call.

"It would be great and a source of great pride,'' he has said. ''But they are so many great goalkeepers in Spain and it's very difficult for the national manager to just choose three. If it happened it would be like a prize for carrying on working."

goal.com?? I'll wait for rather more reliable sources..
No xavi, but iniesta is back guys..
bojan-messi-pedro
iniesta-yaya-sergi
maxwell-P&P-dani
VV

I rememberes maxwell doing well on the left with andres and bojan..
He'd be a good offensive option.. But defensively, abidal better..
Against valadolid i think maxwell fits better..

Transfer talks mode ON!!
who should we bring in? On previous page i saw luis fabiano?? He's not bad too come to think of it, and should not cots as much as david villa maybe?
Do we need cesc? Mata? Who else? Who to fill into the void of henry? Bring back keirrison? Hleb? Cacares?
The last game is a testament to evrybody, that yaya is happy at camp nou, and hopefully is not going anywhere.. he's a beast that has work rate of an alien world, but offers a lot to the attack as well (unlike lass at RM)
Barca will be at a loss if we sell him..Not even mascherano can replace him..

QUOTE(matyrze @ May 17 2010, 09:59 AM)
Finally, its been a really long and eventful season and in the end we get to continue our singing again rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif OLE OOOLLEEEEEE!!
Fabiano is only flirting with us. Similar like what Arshavin did. There is no sign of interest for them whatsoever, as presidential candidates (and Laporta) are concentrating on 2 big names to be their marquee signings. Those 2 don't need introduction I guess.

Cesc? No need. (JDS needs to be promoted, I don't think he has much time left with us if he don't) Mata? YES!! Keirrison is not a LW, he is a goal poacher (too bad he has wasted so much time at Benfica), and I will never believe in Hleb again.

Who will return from loan this summer? Lets see: Keirrison, Hleb, Caceres, Botia, Henrique, Victor Sanchez. LOL, that is a lot.

You are right about Toure, but don't worry, so far only his agent did much of the talking. Sure Toure may want several issues to be resolved asap, for instance his lack of playing time. But he has never said he wanna leave.
*
No cesc? He is a good candidate for replacing xavi (30 y.o.) tho.. And hleb i think we could still bring him back after wat he did this season.. He might slot into henry's vacancy??
Luis fabiano might not be able to resist playing at barca.. who knows? Its worth considering as he might come cheaper than villa..

QUOTE(matyrze @ May 18 2010, 12:58 PM)
If we buy Cesc this summer, what is his role then? If we have money, I would prefer Villa rather than Cesc. We can consider Cesc later on, when we can get an even more matured Cesc, and maybe will not be as expensive. Or maybe we don't need him after all. Again I remind you, we have JDS, Thiago and Sergi Roberto, who are all good prospects as well to replace Xavi.

Erm, what has Hleb did this season? He has been good for Stuttgart?
But is he attractive enough in the eyes of the presidential candidates? Fabiano is a very good striker, so that remains to be seen. So far, they never mentioned Fabiano.

But I prefer a new LW. Villa is not a natural winger, but still, he has played that position with Spain. Can Fabiano play that role?
LOL. Really LOL stuffs.

Toure's performance against Valladolid just showed that he excelled when he played in a more advanced role, a position that has absolutely nothing to do with Busi. Absolutely NOTHING. That is the position which was given more to Keita. Really LOL stuffs from 'Argentina fan'.

So the proper question is, why Keita, instead of Toure?

*
I dun think our cantera products are matured enough to play there yet but who knows, maybe we'll get another pedro next season.. Jeffren anybody?

Hleb had an on and off season in stuttgart, but against them in the 1st leg of our ucl qf we saw glimpse of his best..Just saying since he's coming for free, why not give him a try out? He expressed interest of returning to our squad anyway..

Well yeah, if fabiano comes i dun see how ibra could stay.. And i dun wan ibra to go, not before we gave him a 2nd chance..
But again if villa comes, its pretty much the same right? I cant see villa coming to barca to play LW..I'd rather let keirrison or jeffren do the running, as they're more young and versatile..
Maxwell for LW?? Lol jz jk..

About toure, i really hope he doesnt go..In the few candidates that might lure him away from barca, is it a coincidence that all are EPL teams? pfffffft... maybe the author just loves epl > spl LOL..
Instead of kolo asking yaya to move to england, why not yaya just ask kolo to come to spain? But i bet nobody would wanna pay the hefty salary that he is now earning at MC..

But felipe and jesus navas is welcomed..at least in my book..
And LW..why not kun??

Added on May 19, 2010, 3:09 pmI mean, we should get kun for lw..at least he will not cost so much i guess..
