Well, that's kinda weird if you ask me. The same thing happened for season 09/10, 08/09, 07/08.

Good news for those who want Cesc to be back home; according to EMD and Sport, AW is ready to talk with us, and take the 40ME offered. But there is a bad news; AW asks for 1 of our canteranos to be included as well, and the name supposedly proposed is JDS!! unsure.gif unsure.gif

Again we have this issue, do we need Cesc now? He totally the best replacement when Xavi retired, Joni currently is our best youth so far and look understand our game play very well but still need time to have a good vision like Xavi has

i think Barca want to Cesc join now because they want Cesc learn something before Xavi leave, it seem a good move, some people said we dont need Cesc now but in football you need time to mastering something and you need a tutor, that what happen to Pique and Puyol now, Puyol totally tutoring Pique both in training and the match and we always heard Puyol scream "Geri" in the match when Pique out of position and tell Pique where to be to built a offside trap

This possible transfer have pro and con
the good part is Cesc will have two or three year to play alongside Xavi and learn much about our gameplay
the worst part is we lost our best youth midfielder

i think AW really trying to play dulll here, he know as much as we know that cesc wants to join barca but the problem is cesc dint go for media attention to get his wish..now, if what mention is true, that AW asks for JDS in return i say we reject it for good,,let see how long can he keeps a player that already lost his heart to play for the team, if cesc continue to play next season for arsenal given a poor run of form it his false to blame not cesc,,plus, perhaps we could get cesc a bit more cheaper with nothing to lose other than time to wait... smile.gif

For me, it has more cons than pros.

As things stand now, we are quite thin in CB and DM area. If we use up all of our money on Cesc, we have to be very dependent on B team. And the B team have their own big mission themselves, avoiding relegation from La Segunda. And at the same time backing up the first team? Quite a tall order for a bunch of teenagers.

Unless we really have 89ME to spend on transfers..... unsure.gif unsure.gif

I think this is why AW finally willing to discuss, but he'll make sure he will get the best out of the deal first, hence the JDS inclusion.

it really close now, both Barca agree on 5 years contract and 7M salary
now it depend on Joni, we still have money to spend to buy CB and DM but Adriano can play as DM mean we have Busi, Keita while Adriano can be third choice DM

Adriano as DM? Our pivot? No he is not that kind of player. He can play CM, not DM.

Keita as DM? I also don't buy this idea. He has poor vision to be our pivot.

Just pray that somebody from B team will step up like Busi and Pedro did again. The name widely regarded as the next gem is Fontas. He can play as DM. Maybe Pep think its about time for his turn? unsure.gif

We are about to make the same mistake. Kinda perplexing how can we lose both Gio and JDS doh.gif doh.gif

Marchena??
never heard Barca want Marchena, right now they talk about Marcos Senna but Zubi said Barca dont need Senna and will try Spain U-19 pivot who also La Masia`s product Oriol Romeu

Good news for those who dont want Cesc to be back home
it seem Cesc will continue at Gunners

btw Rafa just decide to play in MSL, gracias Rafa

JDS played as the pivot against Valerenga (weird nobody mentioned the game here tongue.gif). He played well, and he was immensely influential on the build up for V.Sanchez's goal. Maybe we actually have more option than we think atm? But still, the B team will surely get affected if the senior team depend on them.

Oh, and, muchas gracias Marquez!!

Or buy another CB, or just get Cacares and Henrique back

i was just happy if barca can sold ibra to others,... seems like he is big burden for barca right now... he is one of the top earner in barca.. but, arrival of villa may allow him to be a bench warmer... we have pedro & messi to play in both flank.. and all barca need is strikers that can create space, fast & sharp which complete package of villa.....

Arrival of Villa just gives Pep more options at the front. I don't think he will affect Ibra's chance. He will mainly play as LW, like Henry, with some added dribbling ability and pace. Ibra will only sit on the bench if he see it fits with the tactic, or Ibra is rested/injured.

do agree with you... but, by not using villa as a front men, i think its just a waste... u remember last season when playing with a team with ultra defensive tactics like inter... were is ibra? u can count how many time he manage to touch the ball... why? seems like he have no pace to move n create a room for himself... its not i dont like him, but for me, he is just overrated... big match flop... doh.gif

but, this season, i wish ibra can proved to barca fan that he is more worth that any other strikers out there... hope he can help barca to achieve another 6 trophies... viva barcelona!!!! thumbup.gif

I think Ibra's problem is mainly because he is finding Barca's style really hard to adapt into. He is not overrated or anything. He is a world class striker with brilliant set of skills, no doubt. Watching him when he was at Juve and Inter really showed that. But playing for Barca is very different compare to playing in Italy. The style is totally different.

I'm not sure about him being a big match flop either. As far Barca is concerned, he scored in several key games for us. Real at home, away goals against Stuttgart and Arsenal, Atletico at home. Furthermore, he also scored 16 league goals. Not bad for a striker he found it tough to adapt into his new club ain't it?

i do agree with u bro.. no doubt.. just that i dont really like his mobility n vision to the goals... i know he scored a lot last season... but, did u saw all his goals? just a tap in bro.. more of it is tap in.. the most beautiful goal is when he manage to hit ball into arsenal goalpost...

well, let we count on him again this season...hope villa can create a lot of space, while messi screwing up all the defend and ibra will do a lot of tap in goals... tongue.gif
