hi there,

today i've managed to set my E8400 @ 4Ghz

this is what i see at the bios

Clock Ratio at x9
Bus speed 445
Memory Multiplier at 2.0
Ram timings at 4-4-4-12
cpu frequency 4.00Ghz (445 x 9)
cpu voltage: 1.25v

but when i run cpu-z 1.52.1

i see...

core speed is 3Ghz
Multiplier x9
Bus Speed 333.4Mhz

am i missing out anything? or it is just displaying wrong numbers?

sorry, i'm pretty new with overclocking

even if he disable it the OC setting should stick.

Added on July 31, 2009, 9:34 pmbtw try increase the processor vcore to 1.4v,loosen the ram timing to CL5,increase the nb voltage to 1.3-1.4v and set the vdimm to 2.1v.

try it and see if the setting stick this time around.

hmm.. the pc didn't restart before proceeding

i tried changing back bios using load optimized performance settings

and the fsb goes to 100

becomes 9x100 = 900mhz

but when boot up and check cpu-z, it all normal

may i ask how do i reset? sweat.gif

EDIT: ahh.. it's finally fixed and back to normal.. i removed the battery and it worked... thanks for the help guys
