2925 CCB (Cycle & Carriage Bintang) was suspended today, guess what, they are giving a SPECIAL DIVIDEND worth RM1.20 & INTERM DIVIDEND of RM0.05

today's closing at 2.66

tomolo resume trading!!

that's equivalent to 45% yeild man!

Is it easy to buy this stock coz the shares issued is kinda low compared to other companies' stocks....?

pana jie....i dun think ill join the boat for the ccb....got bad news for this company ler...its not profitting and its no longer the sole distributor of benz in the country....

i'm in. my best guess is TOP at about 2.91. (about 9% jump), then trading might probably limit up 30% by noon.

good luck getting out once you're in. problem's not getting in, is getting out. might get trapped by very low volume if you're not out.

How much do you think we should start with the bid? I don't we can get at the closing price anymore...

it's up to you to guess it. u can give it a pessimistic 10% jump at TOP or 5% jump.

my best advice, take a look at last year's chart for this stock. then you'll have a better view of what to expect for tomorrow.

Buy after x or months later.

Start key in buy orders now.

26th August

on 31/7/08, the day after announcement, it opened @ 2.40,
It then closed 80cents higher with 98cents intra day high...
hopefully tomolo still got chance for to grab some KFC

if kena trap then most likely will become "ah long" to them for 1 year with 5cents interest only...

Wah! I went out for a while and come back to see page 2 already. UMA UMA!!! Like new IPO just listed!

Anyway, won't be joining the Q tomorrow as I'm working and the historical chart showed that the price after the huge jump didn't go up much.... RM3.30 to RM3.40?

Might consider this counter next time after ex..... Would be a nice counter for dividend play, hold for long-term, sell after price jump before ex, then buy back after ex when the prices gradually drop.... No taxes from dividend!!!

oh, now that the news is out in the media. REALLY prepare to see a fireworks show tomorrow.

What price can q tomolo?

$1.2 dividend less 25% tax = 0.90 per share , meaning if i hold 1 big lot (1,000unit shares ) i will get $ 900 dividend :| ?

I'm not sure about this CCB thingy.....
I think that CCB insiders and current shareholders will do very well and some that try to jump in may do OK - but not many.

It's a bit like being a CARLSBG (2836) shareholder. You would have had to wait for 10 years (since 1999) for your stock to jump like it did this week.

my guess is tomolo this ccb price will shoot up to 3.60 or 3.80 which is more or less equivalent to today closing price of 2.6 + dividend 1.2 . then after dividend payout, this stock will remain almost inactive for the rest of the year. so becareful when getting in becos u will not get out so easily.

i will buy whatever price it is tomorrow ( below 3.4) and sell on that day too.. see if i get it.. last year +50% 1 day.. lets see tomorrow...

from what i see last year 08... the volume come in from day 1 after annoucement of dividend is made to few days after ex date.. no problem about getting out...
altho daily trade seems very low & illiquid thro' out the years....

can hold up to few days b4 ex date...

1st session sure limit up...2nd session if got lucky can but the price quite high already..

this counter play same as JTINTER & MSNIAGA..

note today that JTINTER already breaout upward of triangle.. maybe dividen is coming already next month????

CCB is limit up when market starts. completely no chance to buy at all.

Yup, let the price drop slowly ex-date, then buy some for annual sale!!

Just wondering, if I have a company ABC giving dividend RM1.00 and the price jump up RM1.00, then the company's capital is not used ma..... can't the insiders jack up the price and not use the profits for distribution?

Well after I saw the CCB's Opening Price in the morning, decided instead to buy KNM. Now pulak stuck with the KNM....US220 million deal yet naik 3 cents only... bought at 91 cents....sob sob

Not every news must be good news.

But for those news giving you (shareholders) good money one 99% surely is good news.

Is it at the margin of safety when u bought it at 91 cents? If it is, then u don't hav to worry if the price goes up or down in the short term. If u bought it at the margin of safety, the price will definately go up soon or later
