QUOTE(Mikiyo @ Jul 29 2009, 05:38 PM) hey aurora...another question sry...fast one If the ex-date is 29/07/2009 (which is today), and you sold your KPS today (which you bought before 29/7/2009), you would be entitled for the dividend.5843 KPS Final Dividend 4% Ex date 29/07/2009 If you're interested to know more, you can read the guide on dividend : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1039913 The guide is still not completed yet but do explain regarding the ex-date This post has been edited by kmarc: Jul 29 2009, 06:27 PM |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Jul 30 2009, 11:13 PM) Definitely Irrational Exuberance. I agree with you. Waiting for a pullback too.We are so top heavy, I'm expecting a nice pullback.. but just too many dip buyers at the door. The earnings are guided so low, most companies can beat 'em easily. All "less bad" become "Recession is Over!" This is pure madness!! I tell ya! Everyone is taking ecstasy pill. By next quarter, reality may come in and say.. hey.. where's the earnings, where's the growth, where's the jobs? However, the market seems to ignore this and keeps on rallying up. Investors entering the market recently will either reap huge rewards if the market do continue its upward trend or get caught again if it goes the other way. I'd rather think it is the latter.... |

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Jul 31 2009, 09:27 AM) not yet bb still got timeleh, CCB hasnt reach is peak yet.. still can take profit ... There's 25% less tax right? I thought the net dividend would be 90 cents? estimate that CCB will hit at least RM 4.. this being the the dividend total is about 1.25, whilst the opening price today is 2.66 should be around 3.91 |

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Jul 31 2009, 09:36 AM) yes thats right, normally when investors buy things the normally see the 1.25 rather than the 90c ... i.e. me I think I'll wait for next year. We should remind each other to start buying in Q1 2010!!!! a prudent person would take 90c rather than 1.25 total would be around 3.56... than again u can claim the tax, for rebates. |

KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) will offer for subscription the RM10 billion Amanah Saham 1Malaysia, from August 5 at a fixed price of RM1 per unit. This would be the largest fund offering to date by PNB. Anybody planning to "ride the bull" due to AS1M?
Here's some other news : http://www.btimes.com.my/Current_News/BTIM...icle/index_html QUOTE Analysts expect the launch of the Amanah Saham 1Malaysia (AS 1Malaysia) fund to help shore up the local market in the fourth quarter. "We will see the effects in the fourth quarter as the offer period for the fund ends in early September and the re-distribution of investments takes place (after that)," OSK Investment Bank's head of research, Chris Eng, told Business Times yesterday. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak launched the unit trust fund with a size of 10 billion units at a fixed price of RM1 each yesterday. It will be managed by Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB). The announcement had a positive impact on the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index, which closed 14.24 points higher at 1,174.90 yesterday. The rise was in line with rallies in other Asian markets. The AS 1Malaysia will invest up to 90 per cent of its value in equities, with the rest in fixed income, liquid assets and other capital market instruments. While PNB has not specified the industries the fund will invest in, Eng said that it was likely to look at PNB's investment companies such as Malayan Banking Bhd, UMW Holdings Bhd, MMC Corp Bhd and SP Setia Bhd. "The fund is a positive move for retail investors, given that deposit and savings account rates are low. Consumers can channel their money into the fund, which will invest in the market in an orderly manner," Kenanga Investment Bank head of research Yeonzon Yeow said. The fund's return will be benchmarked against the average five-year MGS (Malaysian Government Securities) yield, which currently has a trading yield of 3.73 per cent. The only concern raised was that the new move might artificially inflate the stock market beyond its current valuation. "Many of us have not upgraded our earnings forecast on how fast the economy can recover. The question now is, will stock prices run ahead of valuations as the market is trading at a price-earnings (PE) ratio of 18 to 19 times currently," Yeow said. |
