Jason, 35 is too early lar..

You can make it to 40.
*
To retire at 40 in Malaysia and live a reasonable standard of living till you croak - you will need RM2 million+ IMHO.
That doesn't include expensive divorces, having 8 kids or having a chronic illness BTW. hmm.gif

I think if your money can generate money, 1M should be more than enough. Besides, I dun plan to have 8 kids also....max is just 2-3.
And divorces? - Will not happen gua....if really worse case, then 50-50 only.
Chronic illness?  rclxub.gif

It's interesting....in the US, Europe, Japan etc. when actuaries and pensions providers research younger peoples' expectations and how much they think they will need, the respondents always HUGELY under-estimate the cash pile they will really need..... hmm.gif

Something to do with being "young" I guess.... tongue.gif

Definitely.

But i just wonder if how many people are actually going for 50 contracts in one go for Futures

hmm.gif

1 contract = RM3500, 50 contracts need only RM175, 000

Let say 50 contracts, earned 10 points a week, it would be 50 X 10 X 50 = RM25000; 4 weeks will be RM100, 000

which is possible...

hmm.gif
*
So.....what's your problem??
Liquid cash??

who is the prince charming?
my problem is working hard to accumulate RM175k

now i'm just a monkey holding around RM15k

I'm also estimating now...

Let say 1 month rise average 50 points; if go for 2 contracts, will earned 50 X 50 X 2 = RM5K

RM175k / RM5K = 35 months, which is 1 year +

I'm still working a way out....
*
Hey...but the cash isn't a problem.....
How can it be???

Dunno why if you need 175k for your plan it should be a problem.... hmm.gif

If we all think like this, then forever we will be working for others, right? Isn't the purpose of investment is to create passive income for us? And when the passive income > salary, we can forget about working, no?

Yes, Jason...that's all well and good..but don't forget:

Nothing is Forever. hmm.gif

LOL there ARE a LOT of things to do !
Remember college days ? When you go to class 3hours/day and spend the rest of the day sleeping/sleeping/sleeping/eating/sleep some more/ tongue.gif

Actually, one needs to remember that sometimes retiring only means stopping from office work, having to report to work everyday, 9-5.

One can take up hobbies, make babies (at 40, still can? LOL gerak² 5mins then mengadu sakit pinggang, lol) go on trips, grow trees..
and the list goes on.

As for the money to cover expenses, one can get it from passive income, e.g income derives from having your money work for you.
i.e pensions, dividends, money you got from your kids(bring them to visit families to collect angpows, for example, haha), rental income (if you have property).

Hmm I've always embed this idea of mine, that one day I want to do things at my own pace, whims and fancies, without having to be bullied by my boss,
and not having to apply to get off days and to get scolded for not being in the office, even though I am sick.

You got it man! thumbup.gif

I'm with you on that.

Already loaded up my second order of gold and silver coins.
Building my bunker now - outfitting with outside solar panels, water collection barrel and filter and
my little garden.

I am preparing for the worst.  Speaking of ammo, I gotta get my Winchester back from my bro.
That SOB took it for hunting trip in Thailand and still hasn't return it yet.  sad.gif
*
Good for you.
I'm going to dig out my MUST HAVE items to be stocked in for the coming strife. Will post it here or PM you with it.
The location of the bunker is quite important. You need to reasonably close to a (smallish) population centre but not too close to urban populations where the starving and desperate masses could pose a threat.

Don't forget: we'll need most of the ammo for food - not just defence. hmm.gif

Tonight, NYSE all red, as expected, the energy sector are overbought.

Already pullback 2%. Natural gas oversupply.
Waiting for a bit pullback before exiting my short.

IMO, crude should go down.. $70+ is tipping point.
Some bulls still think this market is good.  We need more bull traps here.

I'm looking at its fundamental. I found that Latexx still very much undervalue as compared to other gloves makers. And Latexx's growth also not factored into the price yet. IMO... Follow at your own risk (especially for short term).

Yes.
That was what attracted me to Latexx. hmm.gif
SUNCITY is an interesting option - does for FA show anything interesting there?
