Trying to need to grind some money as well.
Big chuck of HR comes from bosses =/ but I cant take them out alone. LOL
I keep watching the bosses moves for an "opening".

I'm an crafting addict T_T made one fire and one water hammer so far.

Btw, is it good to slot all ATK for me as hammer?

i know what you mean, the only beastie I've met that i don't feel bad killing is that stupid bird thing. Hence i try to trap them whenever possible. Madmoz = no kill policy a.k.a. nature lover!

It's up to your preference, I haven't slotted anything to my equipments yet, no good armor to make it worthwhile yet.

i like precision on my armor... but might well change it to perception soon.

what to slot (and for that matter, wear) really depends on your own style of play methinks.

what about them black thieving cats?! they stole my SHOCK TRAP

@madmoz - they stole my map too! yeah felvine leaves work great buy a whole bunch from one of the vendors in the city and carry them around = problem solved!

how to unlock LS & Slash-Axe at offline mode???? i want to see hunter weapon guide for the Slash-Axe

For new players or players still in HR1-9 range:
- Please group up with each other and do the 1* quests.
- The reason we're online is to group and get to know each other! So let's do that!

Those of us who are in the HR10-17 will probably be busy with our 2* quests.
- When we're done our quests, we can find you and help you out on your quests.



Switch-Axe unlocks after you complete 2** offline quests. You can make Switch-Axe when you go online, if you have the materials.
Longsword unlocks after you complete 3** offline quests.

Welcome, btw don't give up too soon if you ever get frustrated.
The game really opens up only after you have spent a lot more hours on quests...
In the case of MHTri, I would say don't consider giving up offline until at least you have unlocked cha-cha and the slash-axe and long sword.

but tigerporc/goku is right, this game is frustrating. in a very good way.

I couldn't agree better.

Offline mode is the opportunity to get used to game - test out the weapons and such. I farmed and made alot of different weapons until I found one I like. (Hammer time!)
Learn the crafting & combining - it is extremely useful.

Explore and get used to the surroundings - know where to find what and monsters habitats.

Later on, you will explore different maps. But if you take notice, they are similar.
