QUOTE(juwels @ May 6 2010, 01:14 PM) haha, its okay. it was kinda fun watching me fly here fly there 4 Jagiis? lets tackle the 4 great jaggi when we have a full team, am sure we can do it dont worry about the fainting, as long as we are having fun! That used to be my solo farming quest when I first started playing online. Later on knew many people and never play Jagii quest anymore My copy has been shipped, but my Wii is not ready to play imports yet |

actually we did the other "more difficult" quest earlier but it seemed even worse based on how unprepared we were.
that's y we decided to go for the Great Jaggi hunt as practice. we did kill 2 (sufficient for subquest completion) but unfortunately we didn't bank-in we were also very lucky (read unfortunate) to have 2 other big monsters (Qurupeco & Condor-like monster) appear out of a sudden when we approaching the 3rd G.Jaggi . it was like WTF?! how unprepared we were ? - no potion brought - no whetstone ... and i was using switch axe - forgot to take bomb/trap when suppose to capture monster - etc, etc it was a good team member familiarization exercise though ! Should try going for Moron, he's easy and doesn't require good weapons/armors, just complete teamwork and good online connection

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ May 6 2010, 04:05 PM) 4 Jagiis? I just want the jaggi head quest reward item That used to be my solo farming quest when I first started playing online. Later on knew many people and never play Jagii quest anymore My copy has been shipped, but my Wii is not ready to play imports yet Worse case I guess I will solo it, bring enough potions/whetstones (as long as avoid quropeco and quro-summoned rathians) Update: Jaggi Head gotten This post has been edited by tigerporc: May 7 2010, 09:08 AM |

QUOTE(tigerporc @ May 7 2010, 09:06 AM) I want to try that repel moran too. Tried with yangkuo and 2 other hunters but failed. Any guide/advice if we want to try again? saw you both online yesterday, but i couldn't join coz you guys had a full team already. i was successful with moran once, and it was with a team who had a leader that briefed us before we went in. i was assigned cannon duty, we had a gunner who went to the front of the ship to shoot at moran. the other two busied themselves with the cannon and ballista while waiting for moran to come closer. when he did, the two jumped on his back and started hacking away, between the crack of his scales. when moran wants to slam his body against the ship, the gong will be sounded to repel him. while the two are at his back hacking away, our gunner will blow a healing horn to heal them. our team leader was manning the dragonator too. we were down to the last three minutes when we finally repelled that big desert bugger, i had no more healing potion left and was quite sure i'd faint and end the quest for the rest i think the hardest part is trying not to faint. so grab a meat+meat meal before the quest to up your health. bring maximum amounts of potion, mega potion, whatever that heals. be careful of the stupid fishes, falling rocks when moran shakes himself, and brace yourself well when moran slams into the ship. i think today is the last day to repel moran.... |

@gundam, thanks for updating the 1st post.
How are we gonna hunt? I'm an MMO player, so I'm kinda used to group roles. Just an example (Feel free to correct me as I'm newbie to MH3 1. Designated tanker OR up-front and personal - GS/Lance/Hammer/etc 2. Melee DPS or Flankers - Sword+Shield/Any other weapon & Support bomber? 3. Ranged DPS - Bowgun & Support trapper? Everyone should prepare own food/buffs/potions. This post has been edited by gaeryn: May 7 2010, 12:01 PM |
